you dont need a passport anymore for the islands or Mexico(listen to the news lately?) So you dont have to worry about that...go to Mexico......

greece

step 1: look at globestep 2: pick place that isnt a 3rd world country (unless you are really into that)step 3: make sure nothing shady is going on via the news/internetstep 4: goi mean really, it isnt that hard. the whole point of vacation is to go somewhere you want to go. if you just want a hotel on the beach, pretty much any tropical place is gonna suffice.[Edited on June 17, 2007 at 9:20 PM. Reason : but i mean you arent giving us much to work with. hawaii, greece, and italy are gonna be pretty dif]

do a cruise and on one of the excursions do a canopy tour

heh i wanted to do that on mine, but it was 1.5 hours away from the boat. the actual excursion was only 2 hours or so. that works out to more time in a sweaty bus than having fun. oh well.[Edited on June 17, 2007 at 10:30 PM. Reason : and you had to be ready to go at like 7:30]

hopefully you applied for that passport a while back, or expedited it...mine took 4 months when i got it back in the spring, and i hear there taking even longer now due to the summer traveling season and the new passport rules

I suggest Nicaragua, Costa Rica, or Panama. Which would depend on how much money you want to spend and level of safety.

we considered costa rica too, but apparently they get a LOT of rain around that time of year.

If you are going in August, I would suggest going to Alaska. Everyone I know that's went there absolutely loved it and in August the weather would be fantastic.

i think my parents said something to the effect of "we're not old enough to go to alaska yet" lolour problem is that we all want to do different things. my brother and his gf want a tropical beach and bars, my bf and i want eco-tours and a pool, my mom doesn't want to go somewhere that'll be 120 degrees, and the person who makes the ultimate decision regardless of what the rest of us want hasn't weighed in yet.i was looking for suggestions along the lines of "my family and i went to __________ last year and we stayed at _______ hotel and did ____ and _____ and it was great fun for all!"
