So, the rear air is still blowing hot as fuck but the front is blowing ice cold after changing the compressor. Is there somewhere else to refill the rear air w freon? The rear worked fine before the compressor f'ed up.

are you sure you got enough freon back in it? they'll do that if it's low.

I got close to the 3lbs it says it needs, front is fucking freezing my balls off and back is still hot. I'm gonna get it all vacuumed out and filled up properly sometime this week. Could it make a significant difference that I didn't vacuum out the air first? I figured it'd still halfway blow cold in the back

^^could be that. depending on the compressor's death, could have gotten some trash clogged back there.

it's been a couple of years since i last worked on one of these, but iirc 3lbs. is just the capacity for the standard (front only) system.

ah. Well, today I noticed if i left the rear set to 'off' for 30 mins or so when i first turned it on it'd be cold as ice.. but warm up after a few mins, so sounds like orifice is clogged to me and its just not getting enough thru to cool things off..

also, the sticker under the hood says 1.8lbs for the model without rear air 3.0 for the one with..I got a good 3 cans in it yesterday and another one today.. not sure if it's leaking somewhere or just still not full

take it to a fucking shop

youve probably overfilled the thing and are risking killing this compressor too

3 cans is 39 ounces, it holds 48.. there isnt too much in it. and the pressures on high and low side are right (well, low side is a little low) but yea, it isnt over filled.
