After watching South Park's rerun from last night with the Paris Hilton cameo in the "nasty stupid slut" i started wondering. Do cartoon shows like South Park have to get permission to use a celebrity's character in the show. In a lot of shows especially south park celebritys are often shown in derogatory roles. For example I do not see how Paris Hilton could approve of how she was portrayed in that episode[Edited on June 8, 2007 at 12:59 PM. Reason : l]

obviously noor there would be no end to lawsuits involving celebs on SP and Fam guyI can think of:- Luke Perry (gay in family guy)- Tom Cruise and John Travolta (from SP in the closet episode)- Sally Struthers (as jaba the hut)I could list more, but the point is, all of these celebs are not giving permission.

I used to like the cameo's on the old Scooby Doo's.....Sonny and Cher, the three stooges, harlem globe trotters. Good stuff.

It's not a cameo when the character plays a part throughout the entire effing story. And plurals aren't formed with apostrophes.
