his counter offer to mine was $9600 so i guess if the best offer . i thought my offer was very generous, it was high enough that i was thinking "this is way too high, i will have to lie when my friends ask me how much i paid"[Edited on June 5, 2007 at 4:47 PM. Reason : .]

seems a bit high, i got an e46 friday for a little under $9k. a friend of mine might be selling his 5 speed e36 328i, i can point you in his direction if youre interested.

yeah, i almost picked up an m3 for $9500 but decided it was too far away. im definitely interested in checking out your friends car if its in clean shape. you got any details on it?

It's a little on the high end of a reasonable price. If it's exactly what you are looking for, I would spring for it.

well i might have just found a car local thats a lot cheaper (and a lot easier to buy because its local). fingers crossed^and yeah, if it was in the area i might just say fuck it and shell out the cash for it. but i have to include the price and hassle of buying out of state and that bumps it into the "not worth it" category. i dont think his price is that high, and he might get $9600 if he doesnt mind waiting for a few weeks, but he wouldnt even come down a few hundred more dollars for an immediate sell. if i could be "out the door" for $9600 id take it, but after all is said and done that car would cost me over $10k and thats too expensive.
