is anyone enrolled in this program? (where they round up your debit purchase to the nearest dollar then put the change in your savings) i signed up last year when they had the whole "we will match the first 3 months" thing and i'm not sure if they ever matched it. sure, it's not much money, but i was wondering if anyone else did this and noticed BOA matched your savings.

spend money to save money. Brilliant!

with most of these kinds of deals, they don't actually match it until the end of the fiscal year. So you will probably get an account credit a year after you signed up. but I have no clue about the terms of this deal, so that could all be not true.

then they hit you with some random $40 service charge and all that money goes down the tubes. fuck bank of america
^^Yeah, you don't get the money till the end of the year. I love it and have had no problems with it yet.[Edited on May 24, 2007 at 5:46 PM. Reason : g]

do they charge for the service? I guess assuming they charge isn't that far off

^^^I can't say I've ever been hit with a service charge from BoA.

If you get serviced charged by bank of america, you're a dumb ass. I have 3 accounts there and they don't charge for anything.

ok yeah nevermind. you guys are right. my mom said she just got hers and it's been a year since she signed up. and i've never had a service charge with bank of america and the keep the change program is free.

Hell, they gave me $50 just for opening a checking account with them.
5/24/2007 8:41:40 PM
gave me $75

You could either enroll in this program or just move like $10 to your savings account each month... either way. It would only be worth it if the matching thing was permanent.

I've been doing it since the program first rolled out. It's an easy way to add $ to your savings... granted it's only a little at a time. I didn't know they matched it. It's worth it w/out them matching.

Always pump your gas to $XX.01
5/24/2007 9:36:16 PM
^why not pump $1.01 and then stop....then start a new purchase for $1.01...stopmight take you 20 minutes to fill up your tank but you'll be paying (net) ~ $0.06 / gallon!

not 6 cents per gallon6 cents for like a 3rd of a gallon

during the 3 months they were matching, i did pump gas to $XX.01 and rounded my restaurant/bar tabs that way too. i'm hoping it paid off.
