What is Jacob though? Is he the islands spirit or whatever? And how is it Locke can walk around after being shot in the chest. Island healed him?

I also hope they touch on all this preggers stuff and why the island kills pregnant women. And a bit of an explanation on what the black smoke is....what walts roll in it is etc. They built his character up so much and then all of a sudden he's gone lol
