so I jumped at the opportunity to get this thing once I heard about it. Big thanks to Toyotafj40s for showing it to me-

5000 miles, has a few do-dads. I shortened the silencer about 7.5", looks much better. Homemade fender eliminator/half undertail when I get a chance.

how'd you shorten the silencer? Just drill out the rivets holding on the endcap, take a bandsaw/hacksaw/sawzall to the can and inner pipe, then rivet/bolt/weld/braze the endcap back on?

Indeed, riveted the inlet back to the can. here's some pics to show what I did-

stock can:

the innards (minus the packing):

this one shows the small section of tubing I removed from inside the perforated part:

blurry pic of the final length, prior to my decsion to remove the small inner tube:

I used the tapered part to seat and center the core to the inlet piece:

and the inlet part:

things got a little hairy when i welded the core back up after removing the small inner tube, and by then i had stopped taking pics. somewhere along the line I did a little cleanup on the can with some really fine sandpaper and polish... finally I wrapped that shit with packing and put it back together.. it's not the best job in the world, but im pleased.

(the actual idea came from a yellow CBR I saw on campus a few years ago, it had a short can with inverted tip)
