that's the only plausible way I could see it. that'd be tough for the Republicans to match and it's possible that combined those two may have some good ideals for the country moving forward.any thing short of that the Democrats don't prevent much of a threat to the GOP. the GOP is a true reflection of the country as a whole. the CLINTON/GORE package could be sold based on an optimistic future / HOPE type of marketing and selling point.
5/22/2007 10:40:12 PM
wasn't Gore already H. Clinton's VP last time around?
5/22/2007 10:41:06 PM
hi-oh
5/22/2007 10:42:19 PM
silver!
5/22/2007 10:43:26 PM
away?
5/22/2007 10:55:30 PM
correct
5/22/2007 10:56:29 PM
gore is tainted goodshe wont ever be back as the democratic nominee for president or vp
5/22/2007 10:56:46 PM
the only way the republicans will win this time is if they run against a woman or a black man - if the dems are smart enough to put up a white man the reps are fucked
5/22/2007 11:04:10 PM
this is what republicans will claim up and down in the hopes that people will actually believe it.
5/22/2007 11:10:10 PM
Seriously-- how many sexist/racists would have ever voted for a Democrat anyway?
5/22/2007 11:22:14 PM
it doesn't matter who wins because it will still be a win win situation for the people. no bush.
5/22/2007 11:32:27 PM

not @ the moment. are you saying i'm stoned cause of the probablity of the dems winning or the idea of it I mentioned. i know its a stretch, but generally cause the dems target audience doesn't vote.
5/23/2007 1:57:58 AM
im saying youre stoned if you seriously think for one minute that Al Gore would ever consider a run on the Dem ticket as Vice President to *anyone*, much less Bill Clinton's wife.and what Democrat in their right mind would even WANT that ticket? it sounds like pure hell to me. i mean youre a smart guy, right? generally speaking, anyhow. so the only way i can reconcile this absolutely retarded scenerio that you propose, is that you must be stoned. because I know how normally ridiculous things can sound pretty clever after a few pulls on the bong.

If the Democrats were looking for qualifications, Richardson has them in spades (congressman, diplomat, ambassador, cabinet-level secretary, and governor). Unfortunately, some might have a problem with his heritage. And don't kid yourselves, Hillary can win the election. She should choose (1) Richardson or (2) Obama as a running mate. These days--and it's really sad--a lot of people care more about "star power" than policy positions. The Republicans should run Fred Thompson at the top of the ticket with Rudy Giuliani as his running mate. Don't count Romney out, though. He looks like a president right out of central casting--and that matters to a lot of people--but he won't be playing a bit part. I could see a Romney-Giuliani ticket or even the other way around.PS: I'd really like to see Rudy at the top--I'm much more closely aligned politically with him than I am Bush. He needs a super-strong running mate, though. Who would it be? [Edited on May 23, 2007 at 5:01 AM. Reason : .]
5/23/2007 4:57:27 AM
Gore would never be a VP again especially for a Clinton
5/23/2007 8:24:13 AM
i don't understand why gore doesn't run again... i mean he didn't really lose the 1st time.
5/23/2007 11:34:46 AM
yes, yes he didget over it
5/23/2007 12:01:44 PM
Probably because Republicans would destroy what credibility he has left and they would pin him to his whole global warming policy. Plus, I think he has found it to be more profitable selling his bullshit agendas to liberals in the entertainment biz. Why throw away a money making machine just to go and "save the world from global warming". That just woudn't make any sense now would it
5/23/2007 12:02:02 PM
richardson is alright to me. the thing that might kill him if he manages to get the dem nomination is his stance on the iraq war (he says pull them all out sooner rather than later)
5/23/2007 1:16:11 PM
gore cant run for Pres.and he won't run for Veep.its that simple.hes quite comfortable in his new role as statesman/advocate. he's not going to jump in the fire.
5/23/2007 1:45:17 PM
Richardson would have a much better chance if his last name was Rodriguez or some other latino-sounding name.
5/23/2007 1:46:38 PM
i'm really curious if a black man or a woman can win in america...common sense says no but i mean u never know...
5/23/2007 1:48:31 PM
Most of America is not as racist and sexist as the south. You need to get out more, DNL.
5/23/2007 1:49:59 PM
^^common sense?plenty of other countries have done it. it's only a matter of time before both happen in the united states.[Edited on May 23, 2007 at 1:50 PM. Reason : ^^]

bushclintonbushclintonwe need a new name in the white house.
5/23/2007 2:05:49 PM
^ Yeah, like Giuliani.
5/23/2007 2:27:00 PM
what specifically do you like about giuliani?
5/23/2007 2:29:05 PM
Guiliani reminds me of Bush a little too much. The Republicans should just concede this election and focus on 2012, after the Democrats screw everything up.
5/23/2007 2:29:46 PM
there won't be anything after 2012the next administration will be the last evertrue storyi read it somewhere
5/23/2007 2:49:32 PM
i wish Gore would get into the race.
5/23/2007 4:18:23 PM
Bush Sr. still has 4 years of eligibility
5/23/2007 4:20:03 PM
so you guys think H. CLINTON could pull this thing off.
5/23/2007 8:51:37 PM
this H. Clinton had a better shot of being Commander-in-Chief than Hilary doeshttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Clinton_(American_War_of_Independence)or this one:John H. Clinton, Jr.Formerly Part-Owner of The Times. Former Chairman and Board Member of the Peninsula Community Foundation. Former President & Current Board Member of San Mateo County Historical Association.or this one (well, he would have, but he was fighting in Viet Nam when she was protesting it; he came back to a country hostile towards him in which she helped create and died years later):[Edited on May 23, 2007 at 8:59 PM. LMAO LMAO. gop is DONE. they are already at a handicap from bush leaving office. the donkey himself could win for the democrats thats how said it is right now. bush was a strong candidate but whose the strongest gop now? the friggin mayor? the friggin morman? or friggin mccain who isn't even conservative. AHAHAHAA.

i like Romney, but I can't get over the Mormon thing. I mean being Catholic or Baptist or Lutheran or something like that I could be okay with, but being Mormon is sort of a problem. I'd like a Jehovah Witness in office before a Mormon.
5/23/2007 10:38:54 PM
you kidding?JWs wouldnt fight the terrorists, they're more pacifists than a Kennedy-Schumer family reunion. Mormons, OTOH, have been hating the brown people for 150 years and running
5/25/2007 3:42:46 AM
Why the hell would Gore kneel before Hillary Clinton? He did win the popular vote last time, and this time around, the Democrats are much more pumped up while the Republicans are in disarray. No, I can't see him taking veep to Hillary especially when he has a very strong chance of just taking the Presidency himself if he desired to.As for Hillary kneeling before Gore, I can't see her playing second fiddle to him.
5/25/2007 2:33:10 PM
The absolute worst thing the Democrats could do is run Hillary Clinton. Right now, the GOP base is completely beat down... zero morale. The fundamentalist christians who went out and voted for Dubya aren't nearly as motivated now either. What can motivate the Republican base??--- The Dem's nominating a candidate that the party has such hate and vitriol for and that candidate will be Hillary.. and in NC, that candidate would be Edwards or any ticket with Edwards on it.If the Dem's were smart and would steer clear of those two candidates, they would win in a land slide regardless of who the Pubs ran.

how short is he ? isn't bush 43 sort short too though.
5/26/2007 2:17:11 PM
i think nominating hillary would be a mistake because she's such a divisive figure. i think they'd be much better served nominate obama or richardson.
