My woman is getting a yorkshire terrier Thursday and wants to know the best place to take her for shots etc.

my vote would be to read over all the other vet threadsand to do that...you use the search, its there for a reasonit looks like this[Edited on May 21, 2007 at 11:07 AM. Reason : thanks]
5/21/2007 11:06:40 AM
1. Since you did not name a vet office, your vote is not applicable2. I got the answers I was looking for, so your greater-than-thou rant was a little late 3. You have a problem with contractions, and I don't mean the kind you get when your boyfriend rails you.
5/21/2007 12:17:46 PM
tee hee.I really liked my vet, but they are up in North Raleigh, so I doubt that's close to you.
5/21/2007 1:02:03 PM
hey smartassim trying to do you a favor since you are new and all but forget thati mean, you are the idiot that didnt use a simple search. instead you posted and waited for answers when you could have avoided all thisand this is just weak, guy
5/21/2007 1:11:52 PM
You are assuming I am new because I have a low number of posts.Bad assumption. Also, look at the time between my post and the first reply. I waited a long time. Finally, you look just like I thought you would. Here's a hint, guy, don't wear sleeveless shirts 'cause your arms don't equate with your nickname

OH YEAH WELL UR FACE EQUALS UR NICKNAME KBUTT

Crossroads Vet is great. I know the owner (family friend) and have another friend who works there as well. They are very friendly and reasonably priced. Also Mayfair in Cary is good, we take our dogs there to get groomed because their groomer is so awesome.
5/21/2007 1:42:39 PM
People tend to forget that the search function is all but useless most of the time. Anywho, elise and I work at Mayfair in Cary and love it there, but it IS pricey.
5/21/2007 1:52:16 PM
Gentle Care Animal Hospital is where I take my 2 Pomeranians....I think the vets there are very nice and I've never had any complaints about how they take care of my dogs.
5/21/2007 2:28:05 PM
haha its funny you ask this and you go to the school that has the largest small animal hospital in the midatlantic
5/21/2007 3:10:11 PM
My maltese goes to Gentle Care- He LOVES Kate Mallow- and you get a student discount.
5/21/2007 5:43:16 PM
^^Graduated already. Their prices aren't that good from what I hear.
5/21/2007 7:33:33 PM
It makes sense you've got a small dog. Only wimpy cocksmokers pick apart informal online communication, attack folks who offer suggestions, like the point out the obvious, and get yapper dogs.
5/21/2007 7:55:09 PM
mayfair ftw, and raven is an awesome groomer with excellent prices, considering the rest of the hospital's prices
5/21/2007 9:48:07 PM
NEVER EVER TAKE ANY ANIMAL TO CROSSROADS VETS!!!
5/21/2007 11:39:17 PM
why not?
5/21/2007 11:54:00 PM
5/21/2007 11:55:29 PM
well, i've never heard anything bad about crossroads. a lot of people that use our groomer go there and love it.
5/21/2007 11:59:53 PM
^ That's exactly what we do. We've always taken our dogs to Crossroads and never had anything but good experiences. However they don't have a vet on staff and my friend that works there referred us to Raven at Mayfair who grooms our dogs.

When I lived in Raleigh I took my cats to Brentwood Animal Hospital3810 Atlatic Ave. Raleigh NC872-6060And they were pretty good for cats. I know they see dogs too because I saw several their during my trips there. I believe Unipride worked there for a while too, so she could probably speak to their dog qualifications better than I could.

Another vote for Gentle Care.
5/22/2007 10:42:33 AM
Girlfriend chose Oberlin. We went over there yesterday and they gave us a tour. The staff was friendly, and the clinic was clean. The prices were decent, I guess; I'm not really sure what the range is in the area.
5/22/2007 11:02:02 AM
a very close friend of mine has been a vet tech at Oberlin for years.Dr. Wages has always been fantastic with my dogs and does excellent suturing (she cleaned up the messy job that the Emergency vet did when my dog was in a fight).

They'll take care of your little doggy... and deliciously so.[Edited on May 22, 2007 at 11:54 AM. Reason : .]
5/22/2007 11:53:51 AM
^^actually, no, there could be other circumstances that you aren't mentioning that make a huge difference.
