My dad's 50th birthday is coming up.He recently built a shop about 50yrds away from our house. He's always out there and ALWAYS misses phone calls.Anyway, im looking to set him up something so when the phone rings at home, it'll ring out there in his shop. Instead of calling up the phone company and running something from the pole, or physically running wire out to his shop, is there a base station type solution I could put in the house and use a wireless phone in the shop?

we have at our farm what's called a durafon... i have another antenna (external 40ft up) and I get coverage for about a 1 mile radius i have the 4 line system and it is of course $$$ but you can probably get a 1 line version cheaper... maybe even on ebay. anyways it'll defantly cover the area your talking about without need for the external antenna. I'd check that out.http://www.engeniustech.com/telecom/products/details.aspx?id=103
