yeah 69 hooked me up with my new scoot, itt way pimp

top end on it was beyond restoration and i've been haviong trouble finding a replacement 82cc kit which is what i calculated it to be. i had a couple replacement kit designed to work with a stock crankshaft, but this scoot has a longer stroke 42mm one. it will be a little while until the replacement crankshaft comes in, and i really felt like riding it yesterday, so we came up with this bright idea to put space out the top end from the crankcase with some washers and high temp goop.

the best thing is the adjustable displacement, i went from 4 to 3 washers under the head yesterday and got a pretty serious power increase. i think there is still room to take out 1 more washer.


it's still sippin in some air around the cylinder so i had to tape off half the carb to adjust the fuel/air mix. not pictured is my high performance dirty sock aircleaner element.



im still kinda sprised how well the thing runs, considering the way it is put together. i clocked in an indicated 85 KPH goin down western yesterday. goes about 60kph in a straight line. starts first kick too.

next comes a 12g whip cream nitrous kit and possibly a STIHL forced induction setup

a 50cc 10.3 compression ratio Piaggio 2 stroke makes 5.1hp and will pull 400lbs combined scooter/rider weight to ~45mph on a level surface

for the ghetto rigged engine as above, given a top speed of 60kph (37.5hp), 5hp would be optimistic - though top speed may be limited by the drive ratios instead of power

yeah prolly so, it should be quite a bit faster when i have it put together nicely. for now, i need to calculate what kind of comression i am running, i think theres enough room to take out one more washer before piston will be slapping the head, just need to make sure that's not too high of a compresion. displacement will stay the same i guess at about 75cc.

you can only go so fast with these things no matter what you do to the engine. The quickest way to top speed gains is in the CVT

it was a 50 cc but the motor was rebuilt by http://www.mopedhospital.com/ with 72cc stage 3 kit

yeah, i can vouch tripleD4u's junk will roll the hell out. plus, it's still more of a legitimate scooter than underPSI's. 50cc block, still cvt, etc. not that his wasn't cool as hell too.
