you can use my stuff if you'd like. i'm pretty close to centennial. and btw, all of the garage regulars will look at your thread even if you spell brakes correctly. if you spell it correctly also you won't get corrected. i shook my head in shame when i saw how you spelled it with that said, you're welcome to use my jack/stand/impact/torque wrench, whenever is fine.

so you want someone to let you in their shop, to use their tools, to fix your car for free?i'm sure their insurance would love that idea...

^ what? im going to use a jack and one socket/wrench of theirs at a home shop. not much i can fuck up when all i got to do is take off a wheel and caliper.baonest the pad are really pretty new, just didnt get the rotors turned when we did them because they looked fine and i felt no vibes at the time. is there any real reason to change pads besides the fact that itd only take an extra 5 min while im there.[Edited on May 15, 2007 at 6:51 PM. if they are new, at least get some sand paper and sand them down. they have worn to the rotor by now. so you need to flatten them out.
5/15/2007 8:59:31 PM
you scuff pads on rough pour concrete. like sidewalks.
5/15/2007 9:12:08 PM
ahh see thats what i was thinking, that they may not seat in right or something. good call and thanks for the tip. wheres a shop that can turn them for me or possibly get a new set if they've been cut too much already, i guess the closer to jeepmans the better

have you checked the price of new rotors? for a lot of cars these days its like $20. might wanna look at that before you have them turned... sometimes it just isn't worth it
