I know that LA means temporarily late, contact instructor, but is that bad for you? Does that just mean that the instructor just hasn't turned in the grade yet?

LA is not bad for a studentA professor checks this box to indicate that it is his or her fault and that the grades will arrive shortly. Basically they have a lot of shit going on and haven't submitted or graded your stuff yet.[Edited on May 10, 2007 at 10:57 PM. Reason : .]

one of my classes is LA right now. it's taught by about 10 different professors, so the coordinator has exam grades but no individual grading of participation. it's just their way of saying "i don't have it yet.. leave me alone."

I have a LA still from last semester because my teacher didn't tell me about the paper and final till the end of the semester. So I turned it two weeks ago and he said he turned in the grade but it is still going through the administrative. I'm supposed to graduate tomorrow and I'm scared that it won't go through. Usually how long does this take?

but what if a teacher gives you an IN instead of a LA because he hasnt graded your exam yet? Thats what I have, and he finally graded my test Thurs. at 5pm, and turned my grade in that night, but its still showing up as IN in my grades. How long should it take to be changed?
