Do any of you have an IN for your grade? I'm freaking out - I know I did everything in the class and I know he got my final, why should I have an IN?

Or to others of you who may know this - can a professor give someone an incomplete because they havent graded the final yet? I emailed Griggs and I'm waiting on a reply but I'm very worried because I don't want an incomplete for no reason

maybe the prof is in Verizon's IN network and wants you to join too.

but seriously, give it some time to get it straightened out. no reason to start freakin out about it right now. if it is a mistake, there is time for it to be corrected.

eheh I wish it was the easy. I'm thinking my exam isn't graded yet, because thats the only grade I haven't been given yet out of the class, and I took it off campus, so it had to be faxed in and its like 13 pages long full of calc eekk. I know I shouldn't worry, I'm just afraid its been lost and I'll have to do it again.

Dr. Griggs is the supervisor for the 50+ math grad students who teach classes, myself included. My guess is that he hasn't had time to finish grading his exams, because so many of us have been bugging him to sign our grades, give approval for make-up exams, etc.

Usually if this is the case (they haven't graded them/got them signed off) they give you an LA not an IN.

LA indicates the grades are late, but are expected relatively soon.
IN indicates a requirement has not been fullfilled by the student in question.

but thats the thing, I did all of my tests, the exam and the homework on webassign - thats why I'm trying to figure out why I have an IN - I called Griggs' number and sent him an email but havent heard anything as of yet

^ I agree with you, you shouldn't have an IN. It's fucked up they gave everyone in that section an IN instead of an LA. An LA indicates it's the instructors fault, but an IN makes it appear the student has done something.

so are you saying for sure everyone has an IN in the section? I didnt know if you work with R&R or what, or if you were assuming this?

If you still have the test it might be helpful to scan it and send it to Dr. Griggs via email, if there
was some mix-up that would help bring credence to your story. If you can come to campus and talk to him directly that would be what I'd do in your situation.
