Couldn't bttt the old one, but if you're not watching/DVRing this show on Monday nights, you need to be.

One of the best sitcoms on, if not the best.

This show is a great show. I will be pissed if it isn't renewed.

The pineapple episode still remains my favorite.

^especially since Winnie Cooper is in that one.

I think the best had to be the one where Barney was reinvented.
If the show doesn't get renewed, at least I'll be able to finally know what happened to Robin.

^If that's the only episode you've seen, you may not have caught everything. That probably isn't a good starter episode. Or, you weren't a wonder years fan.

The last 2 have been very good as well.

^^^The show is titled "How I met your Mother" and he tells a continuous story of events leading to that.

And he has mentioned that her name is "aunt robin" meaning she probably isnt going to end up being the final girl.

This is definitely a show that grows on you. The laugh track is pretty hurtful, but the really good jokes don't have so much laugh track action.

I watched that episode about 10 times. Every episode I'm just waiting for Marshall to redeem another one. So far though I've only seen 2 (one in that episode and one in the episode with Lily being in the terrible play).

I was skeptical of this show early on, it seemed to be a slightly better than average sitcom, however the thing that makes it great is that it KEEPS GETTING BETTER which is not something you can say of many sitcoms which find a groove then stick in it.

Seriously...Robin Sparkle, classic.

The one where "Ted Mosby, Architect" was out for the night, hilarious.

And there are 3 Slaps left.

Last I heard it was all but a fact that it's not being brought back. Some sets, including the bar set, ha ve been dismanted in anticipation.

The last I heard it was still up in the air. Mike Ausiello said that the season finale "could double as the series finale" but the next week said that didn't mean it was cancelled just that there was a major revelation.

I heard the sets being torn down rumor a couple of months ago, so Id think if it was true, it would have come out as a bit more official by now. Hopefully if CBS cans it, someone else might pick it up (average numbers on CBS would be a ratings hit on The CW).

This show looks like the typical studio audience show, but its actually not. They film an episode over about 3 days, which allows them to do a lot more with the show rather than being limited to a handful of sets. They then play back the show back in front of a live audience to record the laugh track.

^Since its not going to be Charisma Carpenter, Id be down with that.

Thanks for explaining the first episode of the show to me.

But what you said still doesn't explain how if the show gets canceled, you'll magically know what happened to Robin. That's the part I wanted you to explain.

^^Well, if the point is to find out who he marries/has babies with, and it's not her, then wondering how he ends up getting rid of her is a valid point. Right now thats the biggest question I have.

I mean, who the hell would want to stop hitting that?

well I was hoping if not renewed, they would end it with at least the answer to who is the mother. Or one of the writers tell us, at least.

Old Christine and Rules of Engagement would likely get the boot before HIMYM.

I'm also hoping for the Class to get a renewal.. That show also has some promise. Started out slow, but kept getting better esp during 2nd half of season.

CBS also doesn't have a strong set of comedy pilots.. only one is receiving a good amount of buzz. "Giants of Radio".. sounds like a "News Radio"-type show.

That's a big assumption that the writers would or would even have the chance to finish the show the way they would like. Unless they get definitive cancellation notice (which it sounds like they clearly haven't) before the season ends then it's very likely they'll just have a standard season finale without the chance for a proper ending to the show. It would be nice if they had secondary plans to at least end the story properly, but I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if that didn't happen.
