Digg.com is getting hammered for deleting posts about the HD-DVD hex number. The users are retaliating by posting the number over and over again. It reminds me of Chit Chat on TWW.check it outhttp://digg.com/

isnt all of that irrelevant if AnyDVD will do HD and Bluray anyways?

who cares about the key, the hilarious thing is the digg user's revolting against the "quote" censorship "unquote"

I posted it in chit chat, but dunno how many of you would have caught that thread

cafepressi bet theres already one you can just buy
5/6/2007 9:22:14 PM
why buy one for $17, when I can make one for free? plus, I can't find one I like.besides, what better way to show your support for piracy, then to bootleg your own shirt? [Edited on May 6, 2007 at 9:23 PM. Reason : ]

shirts are only funny if you dont have to explain them to peoplechances are, 98% of the people who look at your shirt won't get itthus, it wont be funnyand you will be lame
5/6/2007 10:04:17 PM
too latealready lame
5/6/2007 10:09:51 PM
it isn't supposed to be funny, just support to the pirating community. the 2% of the people that will understand it and appreciate it are the only ones that i'm aiming for.

So...I'm not really all that proficient in tech stuff like this...what exactly does this number do and why can't they just change it?
5/6/2007 11:04:35 PM
Its the encryption key for the AACS encryption on HD-DVDs, and they have already started changing it. It doesn't really mean much though, the new keys are just as easy to recover as the first one was.^^ ...support the pirating community? Maybe you could just buy a pirate bay t-shirt or donate some money to Bram Cohen? I don't really think this is important because it promotes piracy. I thought it was more about exposing how insane the DMCA is. You can't make a number illegal, or at least you shouldn't be able to.
