Has anyone noticed how many bandwagon red sox fans there are out there? I see ten times more red sox merch than I do yankees. has anyone else noticed? maybe the bandwagon is to hate the yankees so the red sox are the most common choice.

Both the Mets and the Yankees have around the same size core fanbase. Then the rest of the city is bandwagoners. The Mets ruled New York from like '66 until '76 and then again from '84 until '94. My opinion is that the balance is about to shift back again. There was an article in the Daily News recently about Mets fans starting to pop up all over Westchester County again like the 80's. Just the NYC landscape.
