Is anyone trying to use their PS2 controllers on a PS3?

I have two PS2 Logitech Cordless Action controllers I would like to use with my PS3. I've been searching for an adapter that is compatible with wireless controllers, but have not had much luck. I just tried an adapter sold at Radioshack with no luck.

dumb question: do ps2 controllers use the same connector as the original playstation?

Yeah, I saw several posts saying that the Radioshack adapter works with wired controllers, but almost no mention of wireless controllers yet.

The port on your system doesn't know if it's a wireless controller or not. It doesn't matter.

It might have something to do with the amount of power etc. supplied by the USB port versus a standard PS2 port, but I have no idea. I just know it does not work in my hands.
