Basically just seeing if anyone here is familiar with these and how much it could be worth.

I bought an old antique piano for $20 last year... when I got home, I realized there was a petrified rat inside.

I know a little about pianos. It is impossible to really determine the worth without having a tuner look at it.What you may not know is that pianos can wear out...or more to the point, become too old to be of value. Now you are probably asking how a tuner comes into play?Well, the bolts that are turned to tune the piano is mounted...partially on a steel plate and partially on a wood backboard.Over time, the wood expands and contracts. This makes the holes that the bolts are mounted into loose and....at a certain point, the piano can no longer be tuned. This will happen faster or slower depending on the conditions the piano has been in during its life. Can it be rebuilt? Sure. But you are talking a price that will exceed the value of the piano when the work is done...unless it is a very special piano.Hope this helps.

If you're trying to sell it please let me know after you've settled on a price. I'd be more than happy to take it off your hands.

Most pianos that age seem like they should be worth alot, but usually the price to get them back into good playing condition + moving costs (not hiring a piano mover really damages them) causes them to go for low prices. Lots are given away for free on Craigslist simply because people don't want the hassle of trying to move them. I love those old pianos... they have a WONDERFUL sound... so I also might be interested, depending on what you end up asking for it and the date it would need to be moved by. (How out of tune is the piano? Any service done on it recently? How's the action in the keys? Any that stick?)
