i paid $20 for it at Toys R Us on glenwood when they were going out of business. It was a good investment as far as I'm concerned (I have it hooked up to an LCD flat panel monitor). I don't know if I'd pay $50 for it though.

^ its worth the dvd up conversion i thinkthe only thing i don't like is letterboxed widescreen dvds get mapped in a non widescreen format on crappy dvds and w/ vga you cannot zoom on my tv.

so on this 1680 native, 22" LCD should i be using 1280 x 768 widescreen resolution?

with the vga cable there are tons of output choices... just like a normal video card.just pic the best one

^^depends on the LCD. It may take 1920 by 1080 and scale it to 1680 by 1050. On my gateway monitor it looks better than 1280 by 768.

what's the deal with homebrew on this beast ?is xbox-scene.com still the reliable info site? and is there 1 particular chip/mod (if it's not all softmod) that most people buy?/hijack
