I'm looking at getting a 95 Integra that has been decently modified and am worried about the emissions inspection. I've heard conflicting reports of pre-96 cars needing emissions tests. I know the car doesn't have ODBII but was curious if it will still have to pass a emissions test in Johnston county. Hopefully wherever it goes won't notice the divorced wastegate.

Anyone know anything definitive about this?

no, it does not have to pass emissions. it will, under the letter of the law, be required to pass a visual inspection that all of the emissions equipment is there. alot of places are too lazy to do it though.

Sweet, thats exactly what I wanted to hear. This should be a really fun project car. I was just a little concerned about emissions but now I don't have to be!

Yea, it runs decently well now. I'd like to up the boost and maybe swap out the engine for a vtec. It's already fun ride but it could be made to be quite a bit quicker.

its not worth it to swap a vtec motor in there while you have turbo.its not gonna get any quicker.

I was thinking vtec plus a turbo.
