Me and a friend are currently looking around for a 2 bedroom house for around 700-800/month (i know thats a stretch). Would like to stay around the ncsu area but really would take something in north raleigh or somethin. Anyone know of any good rental companies or particular houses to look for??

Drive around and look for "for rent" signs in the area... you typically want to do this a month or 2 before your ready to rent.

thats how I found my house back in the day... Realitors were pretty worthless and for the love of GOD stay away from Priess

I rent from Ammons Pittman right now at Ivy Commons. Granted it's an apartment complex, the rental agency is really friendly and helpful. They offered to extend the lease (if we needed it) and the deadline to sign the lease (if we needed it!) due to some unexpected crap that happened.

They would be good to give a look (to see if they have any housing properties for rent). As far as I know they're fairly big. You might be able to find a house or two in the area.

I also know this: Stay the fuck away from the Preiss company.

As for houses: Cruise around the neighborhoods north of campus, look for some for rent signs and give those numbers a call. You might not find shit, and you might not find a 2br house, but you might find one that breaks down to ~$400/mo per bedroom.
