This is good. Remember the Penn State @ Wisconsin game where Wisconsin just kept purposefully going offside on a kickoff to run the clock off before half-time?
4/12/2007 9:23:07 PM
its about time, good to see theyre not above admitting they suck

Thank God. Starting the clock on kickoffs ruined those final possession comebacks. If they want to shorten games take the TV timeouts when there is an official game timeout. I hate TV timeouts after kickoffs![Edited on April 12, 2007 at 9:25 PM. Reason : efiybvfryt]
They're not going to do something that will mean fewer commercials. I agree that the TV timeouts before kickoffs is retarded, but it wont change. I do think there should be some kind of limit on it though, cause i remember a bunch of times last year when both teams were ready to come back on the field and they had to wait for over 2 minutes for that little fag to give them the signal to come back on. I HATED that shit.

thank god. If you want to shorten the game, have less commercials.

can't change the rules mid season, that'd just cause too much confusion, and lord knows we don't want the refs any more confused then they already are...it's a good change though, kind of a "it wasn't broken, why'd you try to fix it" situation... but at least the rules committee can admit when it makes mistakes and change things back... it's one of those nice little things about college football...[Edited on April 13, 2007 at 9:16 AM. this is a good thing. ticket prices go up while amount of football was going down. terrible.
4/13/2007 9:26:51 AM
^^I assumed the change was announced before the season started and there was an ample window between the time they announced the new rule and the start of the season.

4/13/2007 10:51:06 AM
^^^ i think i misinterpreted what you meant by "day one"... i thought you meant the first day of the season, not right after when they announced the rule change
