I need to get an oil change and want a cheap one. I have to go to a shop because I need the paperwork to list the miles on the car so I can have the value of the car adjusted for tax purposes. I really don't need an oil change as much as I need that paperwork. Where is a good place for a decent quality oil change? close to campus?

Precision Tune would be the cheapest. one off of western and hillsborough intersection. i think its lik 14 dolla plus tax

I'm not stealing your thread. Just lemme hold it for a second. No, definitely not the same guy. He wouldn't spend it all at the strip club.FWIW (a million dollars?!) he can do a handstand on his skateboard...NOW BACK TO YOUR ORIGINAL PROGRUM

umm, the miles are listed on the inspection sheet, when was the last time you had a state inspection?
4/10/2007 11:14:39 AM
my last was inspection was before I threw away the inspection sheet that is why I need to get the oil change. I need one anyways, but I would just do it myself if I didn't need to get the paper for the miles.

Wal Mart isnt bad, but you better go early in the morning. They line up around 11 and you may spend 2-3 hours waiting before they even get to your car.[Edited on April 10, 2007 at 3:55 PM. Reason : .]

Cheap oil change... isn't that some type of paradox? It will probably end up costing you more in the end. Just have them rotate your tires, then check the lugs before you leave. It's much better than having some cracker jack strip your drain plug, forget to drain the oil, forget to put oil in, or any one of 100's of moronic things they end up doing at these places.

yea, you should see their "trained technicians". they'll take a homeless dude off the street with no experience.

The last time I paid for an oil change the fucker stole my Fram "Quickdrain" plug.A few times before that the fucker put the plug back in so tight that I had to put a breaker bar on the wrench and still pull with all my strength to get it free. Granted I still couldn't get much leverage to pull since I was under a car on ramps, but the engine was flexing hard on the motor mounts. On topic...The precision tune at the intersection of Hillsborough, Western, and Jones Franklin was always the cheapest when I was in college. One of those coupon books at Food Lion had a coupon for a $13 or $14 oil change and they never fucked anything up when I went there.
