Some of my peeps were saying how they think that Gsp "took a dive". They said nothing realy hit him to knock him down like that and he has taken harder shots in the past from more formibable foes. They believe he took the dive because of the "odds" were so heavy in his favor.

That's the deal why I don't get too into the fighting mess. Once the mulah infiltrates it, it's over.lol

I really think they should make Matt Hughes fight GSP for the #1 contender spot. Hughes looked so damn happy last night because he knows that as long as GSP had the belt he'd never be the champ again.

Exactly what they said about the great sport of boxing...I wouldn't be suprised. These guys don't make anywhere near what professional boxers make. So why wouldn't they take dives? You can only do sports like this for so long ya know.

No disrespect, but you don't know much about sports if you think "dives" are non-existent. That statement pretty much sums it up for you. Fact.

There were spectacular odds in that matchup. GSP has all the reasons in the world to take a dive against Serra. This peep barely won the reality show he was on, and you mean to tell me that he victors GSP (world class UFC fighter)?!!?

You don't know sports, my main man. But I won't continue to ruin it for you. This was no upset, I can tell you that.

Homedog, he was on a reality show fighting for the revival of his career. He was a "has-been" who never made it to the pinnacle of MMA. You explain to me how he defeats GSP (a proven World Class fighter) who peeps have seen climb the mountain.

Explain to me how he even gets a title shot at GSP? Is the welter-weight division that weak in the ufc? Like I said man, fighting sports are the most easiest to "fix". Especially when you're a young hungry org like ufc striving to grow after years of being under the radar.

Look at GSP's record. He victored Matt Hughes, BJ Penn, Frank Trigg and his second loss comes from a washed up (retired) reality show winner?!?

This is the situation:
You have a big time gambler in Vegas.
The ridiculous odds in that fight were like Place $1 to win $3 in favor of GSP
GSP would have probably made about 30-40k for that fight if he won. Not really that much.
Now if he was presented with the opportunity to take 700K+ or to "win" 30-40, which one would you think he'd take?

A career can be revived when you're as talented as him, with his record. He'd have another title shot before the year is out or the begining of next year. At the latest. He probably was offered a lot more money to take the dive. Someone got payed.

1. Serra won the comeback so thats how he got a chance at the title
2. Serra didnt barely win the comeback / he pretty much was the favorite to win his class

3. Not to mention that he was like the first North American to get a Gracie Black Belt so that speaks for itself
