I've gone through pairs of Footjoys and Nikes and a pair of Etonics but i can't find a comfortable pair of shoes.... They all hurt the shit out of my feet......there some less-known brands i can turn to??? it seems like all the major brands are all the same

ive always like addidas golf shoes, although my last pairs were those old school ones, the ones that stewart appleby still wears....bad thing is i think they quit making that style, but i thought those were always comfortable
4/4/2007 12:37:00 AM
^^Yeah Ecco's are pricey. They are water-proof and guaranteed for 1 or 2 years. They are the only pair I have had in the last 4 years or so. They are worth it if you are an avid golfer.

try adidas

golf shoes are one of the things that it pays to use a more expensive shoethey really are more comfortable
4/4/2007 5:34:03 AM
^agreed.

i have some nike shoes. they arent your slick looking ones. they are the tennis shoe looking golf shoes.im talkin real comfy here.
4/4/2007 8:17:57 AM
yeah the tennis shoe style golf shoe are very comfy
4/4/2007 11:11:50 AM
i don't even own a pair. i just wear my cross trainers out on the course. how much of a difference does it make?
4/4/2007 1:11:58 PM
golf shoes are meant to help you keep your grip on sometimes wet or steep landscapesthats why you don't wear your cross trainers
4/4/2007 1:23:45 PM
I think it makes a big difference...especially is sand, or on the teebox - keeping your feet stable is priority numero uno
4/4/2007 1:33:10 PM
The more money you spend the more comfortable they will be...trust me on this one. They last a long time. I spend about 100 bucks on golf shoes every 2.5-3 years but I get killer deals and they are probably more expensive than that. Its worth every penny to me though...but I also play over 65 times a year...maybe more.

the biggest thing spikes help in my opinion is in rain..in the pinestraw... and from fairway bunkers
4/4/2007 2:57:20 PM
i have a pair of nike golf shoes that look and feel like regular tennis shoes........if u r looking for comfort these kinds are it...........if ur looking to have the appearance of a golf pro........these are not it
4/4/2007 3:05:53 PM
btw DRYJOYS are great if you can get a pair for a decent price.
4/4/2007 3:06:08 PM
FJ e-comfort or contour series.they offer the contour in the MyJoys so you can customize them. http://www.footjoy.com/myjoys/Default.asp?bhcp=1

ok, recommend a good place to buy/look at shoes theni'd obviously really prefer to try them on, so no interneti've always bought my shoes from golf shops in the past.......
4/4/2007 4:46:59 PM
Footjoy Contours are the best I've come across. They made a sneaker version of them that were ungodly comfortable (an real leather with a 2 year warranty).
4/4/2007 4:56:58 PM
it seems like the more expensive the golf shoes are that i buy, the more comfortable they are.the footjoy softjoys have been the best i have ever had (and i've been playing golf for 15 years)
4/4/2007 5:10:53 PM
Mine were pretty cheap, but I've got a pair of Foot Joy Green Joys and they are comfortable to me[Edited on April 4, 2007 at 6:15 PM. Reason : :]

go to golf galaxy or anywhere else, try on the contours. if they are comfortable, which i and most others think they are, go home and customize your own pair of myjoys because the stock styles arent that great.

i wear my new balances at knightsplay a lot. and i also wear my golf shoes. the NBs are soft side walls and you move around more. (well, i dont tie the laces, maybe that explains it)but the nike golf shoes are pretty stable

One of my goals this summer is to get out and play golf. I do the range, but I think I can no longer get any better without playing... III
