i dont think anybody would complain if they showed college baseball on tv instead of womens college basketball

i would LOVE to see all of State's conference games (and even some big nonconference games like ECU) on tv...it would increase revenue (more people in stands), make college baseball bigtime in NC....its win/win, IMO

The minor league system of MLB will prevent college baseball from every becoming a big TV sportPeople don't want to watch their favorite college stars play, then wait 2 or more years to see them on TV again in the majorsIt'd be like Kevin Durant getting drafted by Boston then playing for the Colorado 14's till 2009

you will start seeing more games soon i think

^^ i disagree. i watch our baseball team, and do not care who is actually on the team. it's just state's baseball team.[Edited on April 2, 2007 at 6:25 PM. Reason : who watches college sports for the stars anyway?]

A few years ago when we had CSET, I think there were a few more State, Carolina, and Clemson games on...its really ashame its gone now.2007 ACC Baseball TV Schedule:3/17 - Virginia at North Carolina - RSN3/31 - Virginia at Virginia Tech - RSN4/6 - Georgia Tech at Miami - CSS4/7 - Georgia Tech at Miami - RSN4/8 - Georgia Tech at Miami - CSS4/14 - Boston College at Maryland - RSN4/14 - NC State at Miami - CSS4/21 - North Carolina at Florida State - RSN4/28 - Duke at Wake Forest - RSN5/12 - Clemson at Florida State - RSN5/19 - Clemson at NC State - RSNand the ACC Championship Game (none of the series, just the one game)THATS IT. With 18 conference games each weekend, FSN (RSN) does 9 whole games the entire season (those CSS games are probably only available in Florida). The SEC has a ton of games on TV (http://www.secsports.com/index.php?s=&change_well_id=2&url_article_id=5175), yet wasnt it the ACC that had 4 teams in the CWS last year?

It would be cool if a local tv station picked up some games
4/2/2007 8:25:03 PM
The local media thinks that no one gives a shit about baseball. No one even sent a crew to Omaha even after UNC made it to the championship series. They dont bother with basketball or football, so they arent going to with baseball, and its not like they have the equipment just sitting around...theyd have to rent the majority of it.Not saying its a bad idea, because its not...they really should look into broadcasting any games that otherwise are untelevised in football, basketball, baseball...just saying its not going to happen because none of our local stations thinks its worth it, theyd just rather proclaim themselves Hoops Headquarters and other stupid crap like that.

^^^ i was also going to mention that the SEC schools get crazy amounts of exposurec'mon swofford, get on the damn ballor whoever is responsible for these kinds of things
4/2/2007 8:51:23 PM
see, this would be a great oportunity for some enterprising NC State students/staff or NCSU student media organization. If they could rent some media equipment (cameras, sound equipment, etc...) and broadcast all home NC State baseball/softball/socccer gamesbut mostly baseball since thats what I think that would have a larger following[Edited on April 2, 2007 at 9:12 PM. The SEC is nuts about baseball. I went on one of my buddies recruiting trips to USC a few years ago. Columbia was nothing but trash, hot women, baseball and football.
