^what he said.Guiseppi's Pizza right off 278 is fantastic. Hilton Head Diner is pretty good too. And The Crazy Crab has great seafood. Oh, and Harbor Town is a great place to hang out, relax on Calibogue Sound.

I honestly don't ever recall apartment complexes (if that's what you are looking for) in Hilton Head; only really nice houses and villas, hotels, condos, etc. You may want to look at living in Bluffton, which is right outside Hilton Head and possibly a little cheaper.I currently have a friend working as a chef at one of the restaurants down there; I'll ask him where he ended up getting a place. I believe a friend of my mom is still a realtor down there as well (at least she used to be); I'll get her name and shoot you a PM.[Edited on April 3, 2007 at 9:09 AM. Reason : ]

we have a timeshare there. It's super swanky. Lots of midwesterners, epsecially ohioans like to vacation there. Lots of good bars though, and during the summer there's tons of hot chicks looking to get laid that you'll never have to see again. I would imagine living in sea pines would be pretty espensive. You'll probably have to live outside the gates, which isn't a big deal. Overally, I think you'll enjoy it. It's a great place with beautiful beaches.

I've been to hilton head during race week (sailing--when it's fun), and other weeks. All the cycles of tourist (which would get very old after a while) and horrible urban planning would drive me bonkers.[Edited on April 3, 2007 at 7:50 PM. Reason : I mean, yes there are pretty women, but they are gone with in the week]

Has anyone ever been down there in a non-tourist seasons kind of setting? I have only been down there twice, when I was younger, and both times were middle of the summer. I didn't know if anyone had some idea of what the area is like in its off season.
