Once I get my Volvo wagon, I'm going to become a famous rapper and change the automotive world for dumbasses that listen to rap. My dog had a dream about it last night and told the other one about it. And I'll be damnded if BOTH dogs didn't have the same dream![Edited on April 1, 2007 at 11:11 PM. Reason : .]

Ever see a black bird carrying something shiny in it's beak??? Hmmm, anybody know of any gubment studies on this black/shiny phnomenon??? I'd be really interested in the read. I've been pondering the correlation since I was not even born.

blackbirds, much like racoons, like shiny things. on a side note racoons also wash everything before they eat it. so if you give a racoon ice cream, he'll wash it and then be confused. lol

^^what the hell are you talking about? an 89 box chevy is not a g body.
4/3/2007 10:54:23 PM
^Yep. Short explanation for the underinformed:g-body--'82 (I think?) to '88 cutlass, malibu, monte carlo, el camino, grand prix, bonneville, regal, caballero, etc. RWD large-midsize platform. Usually expanded to included '78 to '81 versions of above, which are technically a-bodies but are more or less the same."Box Chevy" - b-body. '77 to '90 fullsize GM in all its numerous variants.I also take exception with people calling any old GM on big rims a Donk, when a Donk is actually an Impala (short for "donkey", referring to the impala emblem). Specifically a '71 to '76 (I think).[Edited on April 3, 2007 at 11:50 PM. Reason : d]

^try early 60s impala for the donkor is that incorrect?[Edited on April 4, 2007 at 12:03 AM. Reason : -]
4/3/2007 11:59:16 PM
^^yep, dead on. gm had planned to kill off the a body in 82, but sales were so good they kept making them in certain lines and switched the name to g body. the a body became a fwd platform that lasted through the mid 90's or so. i guess epsilon followed for the a names that remained? in 89, the g body models transferred off to the w body. g body became a fwd platform.^he's correct... the donk term came from the 70's impalas. fwiw, bubble refers to the 91+ b body.[Edited on April 4, 2007 at 12:13 AM. Makes sense, I was a little murky about the rationale for the re-lettering. Having owned both a '79 and an '82 Malibu, I can vouch for the fact that there ain't much difference, yet the '79 is an a-body and the '82 a g-body.
4/4/2007 12:12:19 AM
yep... most people will consider and call the g body from 78-88, but "technically" that's incorrect, even though most of the models that remained 82+ were basically mechanically identical. the re lettering was also a result of some downsizing and dropping of wagons.[Edited on April 4, 2007 at 12:22 AM.
