3/30/2007 7:55:24 AM
OMIGAWD GET OUT THE CLOSET
3/30/2007 7:57:35 AM
^^ lolThe far left environmental crazies is who "they" are.I'm not saying that Travolta is endorsed, but it seems those in favor of "saving" the planet are those harming it the most. They keep asking the peasants for pennies in that they want us to turn down our thermostats, but they get to fly their big ol jets. There is no validity anymore to these people.[Edited on March 30, 2007 at 7:58 AM. I think the whole carbon credit thing coupled with dem leadership claming they wanted it to be an 08 issue instead of NOW pretty much proves to me that it's not the issue they are making it out to beOMG THE WORLD IS GONNA END
3/30/2007 8:02:17 AM
or maybe the qualified people talking about global warming don't make headlines. . .
3/30/2007 8:02:38 AM
I can't not hear about global warming every time i turn on the fucking news.don't tell me they're not getting press.
3/30/2007 8:04:00 AM
so if I live in the woods I have authority over global warming?
3/30/2007 8:43:56 AM
I see why nothing ever gets accomplished in this country. It's because faggots like Oeuvre, DickTwista, etc, can't look past the messenger to see the message.
3/30/2007 8:47:28 AM
That place is pimp. I'd love to have my planes parked right there behind my house. Awesomez0r.
3/30/2007 8:50:46 AM
lol if he was a conservative you people would call him all sorts of nameseven if he did more for the enviroment than buying some carbon credits... which I assume is what Travolta doesor has he started his own company to pay off when he pollutes the planet?
3/30/2007 8:55:16 AM
Al Gore?
3/30/2007 8:57:30 AM
QTPie says stop talking shit about her man
3/30/2007 8:58:03 AM
Global warming is caused by body thetans, fucking DUH.And Oeuvre needs to holla at some reading comprehension:

AHA, and he seriously flies those things just for fun sometimes.
3/30/2007 9:14:40 AM
Lets make something clear: It's not like he's going around lecturing the world on global warming like Al Gore. Does he look like a hypocrite when he says, "Everybody can do their bit"? Yes. But the title of this thread is misleading. He's just another bleeding heart liberal who occasionally blurts out the party mantras when asked about politics. [Edited on March 30, 2007 at 9:21 AM. 3/30/2007 9:20:39 AM
i pesonally think it's great that people are being judged for their polluting behavior. it certainly is another sign of changing attitudes in america.
3/30/2007 9:29:27 AM
I think so toohey look, I'm not a liberal and I try to help the enviroment
3/30/2007 9:30:34 AM
You only care about the environment if you live in a grass hut!!!!
3/30/2007 9:41:09 AM
people who truly care about the environment own 5 jets
3/30/2007 9:41:44 AM
(this is a troll thread if i've ever seen one)

3/30/2007 9:43:30 AM
you guys sure do hate it when your heros get called out for being morons
3/30/2007 9:45:02 AM
travolta IS a moron
3/30/2007 9:45:43 AM
well he is a global warming hypocriteand he is a scientologist so thats not really a positive in my bookbut other than those two things, i only really know about his acting...i dont know enough about him to say he's a moron
3/30/2007 9:48:24 AM
3/30/2007 9:49:50 AM
3/30/2007 9:54:08 AM
especially when the environmentalists call travolta out IN THE ARTICLE. and when travolta says "I'm probably not the best candidate to ask about global warming because I fly jets."
3/30/2007 9:55:05 AM
I don't care if Travolta's planes spew unrefined vitriol--that's a sweet fucking house.[Edited on March 30, 2007 at 9:57 AM. Reason : ]
3/30/2007 9:56:46 AM
how much good do you think the tiny little carport/awning over the plane is really doing?
3/30/2007 9:58:01 AM
Keeps you dry when stepping out of the cockpit
3/30/2007 9:59:34 AM
Probably about as good a job as any other carport. And certainly a much better job than my non-existant carport.
3/30/2007 10:00:33 AM
3/30/2007 10:13:46 AM
so its more effective than a full sized hangar
3/30/2007 10:14:26 AM
3/30/2007 10:17:10 AM
^^Are you just looking for something to nitpick? Why does the plane HAVE to be in a hangar? When you go to the airport, are all the planes there in a hangar? Do you walk to a hangar to get on the plane? There's no need for the plane to be in a hangar except to do maintenance. The awning is there for human convenience, not for the plane.
3/30/2007 10:20:34 AM
apparently people are just nitpicking what i said instead of being like "yeah it only covers 10% of the plane, i see what you mean haha"
3/30/2007 10:22:05 AM
He only built a 10% hangar to save on the fossil fuels it would cost to construct the rest.

The airplanes had to be manufacturered. And Aluminum, which requires substantial quantities of electricity to manufacture, has a very high CO2 footprint as that electricity could have instead been used to displace natural gas electricity generation. That said, I don't mind global warming. So he can enjoy his airplaces: I just wish I could [Edited on March 30, 2007 at 12:25 PM. Reason : .,.]
