how do you go about allowing someone to type into a PDF document? I could just use a Word File but only want people to be able to be able to type into specific fields. Also I'm trying to find out how to go about setting up the PDF document so that you can allow for the document to be emailed directly to a specific email address (email specific but on the PDF).

if you have acrobat pro, you can design a form from an existing document. it's all in the help file.

http://www.cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.aspinstall this, and it creates a virtual "printer." You then "print" your file to cutepdf, and it creates a pdf.

if i understand what you are trying to do:openoffice has an xml forms creator. you can add text boxes, check boxes, and some other things. then you can export those to pdf (file --> export to pdf). then they can only edit the text boxes and check boxes. but i don't think they can save edited forms if they open it with adobe reader. so they wouldn't be able to email it back to you. they would have to fill the form out and print it, unless they had some non-free version of adobe.
