WANT
3/27/2007 10:11:26 PM
3/27/2007 10:11:43 PM
i mean the other thread is directly below this one
3/27/2007 10:12:47 PM
i know, but some cars deserve their own thread.you know, the ones which hold special status in the auto enthusiast community, like M3, WRX, Evo, G35 (now G37), etc!
3/27/2007 10:14:39 PM
my point is those are the only cars we care about. we don't care about some new hotness kia being unveiled. so you should just put all the hotness + /care in one thread and leave out the junk + /nocare all together.
3/27/2007 10:16:14 PM
not true.some people DO care about the new STS, or the Mazda 2, or the new Camry, etc.and they go in one thread, because each car will generate only a few replies.if i put the M3, WRX, G37, etc in one thread, it will be chaos. since each car is generating a page or more of replies, there will be a mixup and it will be hard to follow the discussion as every other post or so will be about a different car, and there won't be a straight train of thought.any car that will generate a page of replies should have its own thread, that's all i am saying.i mean, there are threads about chicks and birthdays in the garage... no one complains about those.and why does it bother you so?
3/27/2007 10:26:13 PM
That grill is ugly as shit Hell I even prefer the bugeyes to it. And a hatch? GTFO
3/27/2007 10:33:59 PM
BTW, here is a video of the EVO X doing laps in SoCal:http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/GeneralFuture/articleId=120079thankfully it will stay a sedan.[for those who don't know, the EVO X was released a few months back in "prototype" form, but basically it will not be changed much at all when it is released to the public in less than a year: http://www.rsportscars.com/eng/cars/prototype_x.asp][Edited on March 27, 2007 at 10:59 PM. Reason : another spy video: http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/GeneralFuture/articleId=120064]

Golovkoi don't know what your fuggin problem with having more than 1 thread in garage is but you're not the mod so no one really cares what you think.I prefer to know what i'm going to look at before i get into a thread and i'd like to keep discussion on that one topic.that being said this new wrx looks less.... agressive than the rest. it looks kinda like a toyota in the grill other than the subie symbol...ohh wait... i wonder why it looks like a toyota almost forgot for a second. I hate the chrome and it doesn't look mad... it looks happy... i bet with an aftermarket grill though she'd look mean .For some reason it reminds me of this and thats no good.
3/28/2007 6:10:56 AM
Did they not just update the WRX last year? And the year before that?
3/28/2007 6:52:52 AM
07 has new transmission gear ratios and ECU and i think maybe a tad wider wheelbase.06 was a cosmetic update.08 is a completely new chassis.[Edited on March 28, 2007 at 6:56 AM. Reason : .]
3/28/2007 6:55:38 AM
WellllIt looks better than I was expecting after seeing the camo'ed shotsbut I still dont especcially like the look of itperhaps seeing one in action will change my mind
3/28/2007 7:17:18 AM
if they make a black insert for the grill it may look better.
3/28/2007 7:39:44 AM
3/28/2007 8:41:00 AM
I dont like!
3/28/2007 8:47:34 AM
^ + 1
3/28/2007 8:55:27 AM
its better than the 06/07 fugly front. Man those were terrible.
3/28/2007 10:11:03 AM
^ lawl
3/28/2007 10:18:00 AM
foo1 concept grill Asorry i shifted the image but you get the idea
3/28/2007 10:19:11 AM
ugly as fuck. god damn. liek seriously.
3/28/2007 10:20:54 AM
I second the ugly as fuck nomination.
3/28/2007 10:27:54 AM
take the hood scoop away and it would look like a ford...
3/28/2007 10:38:16 AM
the grill looks like a scrunched PT cruiser with a ford logono fucking thanks
3/28/2007 10:40:16 AM
^my thoughts exactly
3/28/2007 10:41:15 AM
Hatchbacks are the new trend. Subaru is just jumping on the band wagon. I'm more worried about performance specs. I'll be waiting for the countdown... http://www.subaru.com/sub/misc/2008/autoshow/countdown/index.html
3/28/2007 12:18:01 PM
DUDE i really like my chop... hahah its amazing how a fugly grill can mess up an entire car.
3/28/2007 12:43:37 PM
^ your chop is great. here is what i think:original grill: econocar lookyour grill: performance car look!but, i am sure the STi version will have a different grill anyway, well, hopefully.no one has commented on how it looks from the back:http://share.3wheel.net/images/cars/wrx2s.jpghttp://share.3wheel.net/images/cars/wrx4s.jpgsomeone with html please reduce them to 1024 width and embed here. thanks.p.s. oh shit you said the same... i and i read it now after i said the above:
3/28/2007 1:48:00 PM
and i thought subie were going to adapt that wing-shaped grill (on the current imprezza, and b9 tribeca) to all future models as the corporate grill?not that i am complaining, because that grill would look so ugly on this! well, i think so, unless i see a chop and see differently.but the idea of a corporate grill is definitely good, and all carmakers are moving towards it.
3/28/2007 4:22:08 PM
They then shifted to the legacy grill because no one liked the b9 look... then toyota purchased them and...snuck in.
3/28/2007 4:34:30 PM
if the sti looks like this they didn't lose me
3/28/2007 5:06:09 PM
That STi is the hotness.
3/28/2007 5:07:42 PM
thats more betterer
3/28/2007 5:13:46 PM
it's a bagger.
3/28/2007 5:45:01 PM
Hideous. It looks like something Ford would design and then throw in the scrap pile because it was too ugly.
3/28/2007 6:51:59 PM
will they finally put half-decent tires on it?
3/28/2007 8:16:09 PM
fuck ugly ass 'hot hatches' , and that includes the GTI. They all remind me of my dad's 93 Mercury Tracer hatch, which my little brother (who like 4 years old at the time) called a "butt car."
3/28/2007 10:32:05 PM
so your dad's poor taste in automobiles ruined an entire genre of cares for you?
3/29/2007 7:13:40 AM
that STi doesn't look half bad, but I'm more parcel to 4dr sedan's.
3/29/2007 7:50:36 AM
parcel
3/29/2007 7:27:38 PM
"i'm sorry we've missed you but you can still visit the distribution center to pick up your parcel"
3/29/2007 7:52:16 PM
3/30/2007 1:19:23 AM
looks like a focus hatch.i still like it though. much better than bugeyes and much better than that oval grill crap from last yeardepending on how big they are, i might want one. if they are about the size of the 93-01 bodystyle impreza's, it would be ideal. i've always hated the wrx because it is just a big car.
3/30/2007 9:02:15 AM
New cars in general never appeal to me anymore because they all look so big. I pulled up next to a new Civic SI 2 door in my S2000 and it looked freakin huge!
3/30/2007 9:27:48 AM
yeah what happened to the days of the 2500lb car??shits gotta be all carbon now to get that light.
3/30/2007 9:42:01 AM
well with things like ABS and dual airbags, what do you expect? and you can't really sell a car without power windows and locks now...
4/1/2007 12:21:09 AM
if the wrx tr was actually light weight and had the sti motor people would buy the fuck out of itbut 500 bucks off for no power windows no power locks no radio and nearly no weight savings was a ripcars like r code mustangs have always sold

I didn't think Subaru would stoop to this level... 08 Subaru Impreza WRX (top) vs. 07 Mazda 3 (bottom)I'm disappointed. [Edited on April 2, 2007 at 11:58 AM. Reason : morepics]
