This phone looks pretty sweet: http://www.helio.com/#devices_oceanFrom what I gather, Helio leases their space from major carriers (Verizon, Cingular, etc.) Since this phone is CDMA, I am assuming it is going to work on Verizon/Sprint/Alltel's networks around here. (esp. since it will support EV-DO). Has anyone used Helio's service around here? Plan's don't look too bad, but I am a skeptic.

Helios' main selling point is that you can use it for myspace.... you can do better.[Edited on March 27, 2007 at 2:25 PM. Reason : c]

sorry to bring up an old topic, but questions linger.do you know if helio is using sprint's network in the triangle or verizon? If you are using helio's service, how is it around campus/kaplan area?

cause i'm one the radio and need myspace

if that was supposed to be a taunt, it was poorly crafted for 2 reasons:1) I haven't been on the radio for like a year. but whatever.2) why is there the assumption that myspace is why someone would want one of these phones?the Ocean phone is far from a "myspace only" device. Maybe read a little instead of crafting these awesome internet insults.but seriously, you totally got me.

1. Helio uses Sprint towers and for voice and data and roams on Verizon towers for voice only2. Service is great on campus and around the city. I get a nice strong 3G signal almost everywhere i go
