I bought a subscription for ESPN the magazine on eBay in January for roughly about $7. It was for a 1 year subscription.

Though it does take awhile for the subscription to start up, (it was mid to late february when I received mine), it was all legit.

Register on espn.com if you haven't already done so, then you can become an insider by entering in the 10digit number on your magazine. It lasts for as long as your subscription.

$7/year + a magazine subscription isn't bad if you ask me.

Hope this was helpful for those of you who don't have espn insider. God knows just about everything on that website requires you to be an insider.

I have a subscription to ESPN the mag and was going to sign up for the free Insider stuff, but it said I had to provide a credit card number so that when my free subscription to Insider ran out, they could start charging me the monthly rate. I said fuck it because I'd forget to cancel in time and end up paying for insider when I barely go to ESPN.com anymore anyhow.

^ does it really last as long as your subscription? I get ESPN the mag because I travel a lot and I like to have magazines on the airplanes so I'll probably keep my subscription for a while. I thought they were just offering like 3 or 6 months free Insider and then you start paying.

you know that's not happening. Why would they do that? They will just catch you off guard and next thing you know you will have already paid for 3 months

yeah, it does last as long as your subscription is.

Im usually good about cancelling shit before its time to renew, but that was definitely a god point that was brought up

If you have a citi credit card you can get virtual numbers that are linked to your credit card number, but are only good for a month. So by the time they tried to bill you, the number wouldn't work.
