I didn't realize they were from the 1950s. That being said, I agree, this could be awful. I liked them as a kid, and had that Christmas album, but today, I just don't see it.

Jason Lee is supposed to voice Dave. Considering Jason Lee is the funniest shouter of all-time it's a great casting choice. "Allllllviiiiiiiiiiiiiin!!!"
