should be the Reynolds game every year if you ask meimagine the fun, tradition and chaos it would create
3/16/2007 9:06:40 PM
better yet, let's play Duke in Reynolds... give them a piece of what they are like in Cameron
3/16/2007 9:07:35 PM
cameron is but a cheap imitation
3/16/2007 9:09:13 PM
It's called money, thus it'll never happen.NCSU easily doubles their cashflow hosting big games in bigger areans./thread
3/16/2007 9:09:27 PM
imagine the tickets you would not be able to get
3/16/2007 9:09:41 PM
show me potato salad!
3/16/2007 9:10:23 PM
3/16/2007 9:12:41 PM
well, if something were to happen to the RBC center, then maybe we could play in Reynolds again
3/16/2007 9:27:56 PM
3/16/2007 10:56:14 PM
Could we at least change the name of the RBC center?I'll start a paypal thingy to collect loot to buy out RBC Centura nad change the name to Jimmy V Banking.
3/16/2007 11:03:28 PM
Too bad we can't have like a preseason heritage game against the holes or duke. That'd be awesome plus it'd just be added cash flow. Only negative would be that the players could get hurt before the season even started though.

Why not have an ACC opponent that we play once on the road have an OOC conference game at reynolds?
3/17/2007 12:24:43 AM
^that would be sweethonestly i think playing Wake in Reynolds every year would be a good idea. Wake is a big four team but no one regards them with duke and unc in importance to us. It would sort of re-kindle our rivalry with them and give us a solid ACC game in there every year
3/17/2007 12:26:34 AM
you know reynolds is great and rbc will never have the atmosphere/noisebut you people underestimate rbcwhen we play good games and dont suck balls, that place can rock too
3/17/2007 12:50:41 AM
the rbc can have the noiseonce we are really goodin like 2340
3/17/2007 12:52:12 AM
if reynolds is a 10i have been in rbc when it was a 9
3/17/2007 12:54:43 AM
RBC may never be Reynolds, but anyone who was in the building for game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals knows how amazing it can be.
3/17/2007 12:59:09 AM
ya and that was for some shitty 5th rate sport!
3/17/2007 1:06:25 AM
hansbrough's nose will start bleeding just from the warm thick air
3/17/2007 1:07:34 AM
haha i could imagine hansblow as the little kid who always has nosebleeds
3/17/2007 1:10:05 AM
but he'd punch you in the face for making fun of him (or elbow you) and then a teacher would walk up (assuming he punched you on the school playground or something) and he'd somehow convince the teacher that you were the culprit...just like the referees
3/17/2007 1:12:57 AM
if i was guaranteed tickets i'd be all for it. if it meant i wouldnt get a ticket, i'd rather stick with the RBC. it's hard enough making sure i can get tickets to that.
3/17/2007 1:30:33 AM
too late overall...if we beat WVU that means we are in the final four...which is in Madison Square Garden...so you gotta get NYC MSG tickets to see them again unless you plan on going to West Virginia on Tuesday
3/17/2007 1:37:00 AM
so who won? I was busy watching Tennessee dominate and ND lose get upset...
3/17/2007 1:44:59 AM
^^are you talkin to me? i thought this was referring to future seasons?
3/17/2007 1:46:29 AM
how about no. the place is louder than cameron and has great history but still sucks balls. we have one of the nicest arenas in the countries and we're going to play all our real games there. let the past go.
3/17/2007 2:10:24 AM
gavin thinks it's a good idea (wral post game player interviews)and if it's good enough for gavin, it's good enough for me!
3/17/2007 2:11:26 AM
suuuure its louder... now give me some obscure quote by someone from 40 years ago saying it was louder... go ahead
3/17/2007 2:11:31 AM
"yeah ive never seen reynolds sold out but uh we need to start scheduling duke and carolina in there, it'd make a big difference in the games, i'm serious, i know we'd probably lose some dollars, but it'd be worth it" -Gavin Grant

i would rather watch a nc state/duke or nc state/unc game at reynolds on tv, than go to the rbc centerreynolds is classic
3/17/2007 11:52:25 AM
3/17/2007 11:59:27 AM
they said reynolds was 1500
3/17/2007 12:43:05 PM
~2000 at reynolds durin the season, NIT mandates brought it down a lil[Edited on March 17, 2007 at 12:44 PM. Reason : n]
3/17/2007 12:43:58 PM
besides, the way they do reynolds now students dont get courtside
3/17/2007 1:24:56 PM
We are never going to get a ACC matchup, even a Miami, in Reynolds. W could get a decent OOC matchup though. I dont mean a big one or a semi-big one, but one that could get televised (UNCW for example, ESPNU broadcast that game earlier this year). My hope is that ESPN told NC State that last night was awesome, and if they will put decent OOC teams (not good necessarily, but decent) in the Heritage game rather than Liberty and Howard, theyll broadcast that game every year.Hopefully everyone saw how awesome last night was and will not let the next Heritage game be only half full.
3/17/2007 1:33:00 PM
I decided today to make it my life's goal to make enough money to have the influence to get Reynolds renovated and have the Pack move back in.Give me about 30 years or so.
3/17/2007 1:34:53 PM
We should play EVERY game at Reynolds!!!!Who cares if our team would suck, we couldnt get tickets, and the seats absolutely blow... It would be LOUD!!!!!You realize the RBC center has posted some of the loudest decibel levels ever during the Stanley CupIt's widely regarded as the loudest hockey arena in the league. Now that our team isnt garbage and we dont have Herb I think the RBC will be loud next year. And the seats don't blow. That's important.

3/18/2007 2:28:50 PM
who here is old enough to have actually gone to ACC games at Reynolds?I was lucky enough my freshman year to go. I thought it was awesome, then I was sad to see us go the the RBC center.
3/18/2007 3:24:20 PM
^ me. Shit was fantastic.Somehow, when I was in highschool, we managed to get cheap ass scalped tickets to a sold out UNC game
3/18/2007 3:47:28 PM
i went to games at reynolds from 8 yrs old on.i think they moved to rbc my frosh or soph year
3/18/2007 3:48:19 PM
my first game ever was maryland game when they had joe smith. maryland only scored 12 points in the first half.
3/18/2007 3:53:11 PM
was anyone at the "Kenny Inge Game"?You know the one I'm talking about.Against GT with two of the premeire big men in the country Jason Collier (RIP) & Alvin Jones (one of the alltime great shotblockers)Inge had like 7 monster jams on his way to ~28 pointsReynolds was going nuts that afternoon
3/18/2007 3:54:58 PM
Trivia (might be easy for some of you):Who made the first (In game) basket at Reynolds Coliseum?
3/18/2007 4:00:45 PM
I went to the Marist game and have to say I was not that impressed. Sure it got loud twice but I like RBC better. Maybe it is because there are only around 8400 seats now instead of the 12k back in the day when they had every space possible full of seats.
