First and foremost, congrats on getting a ticket. Many of you already know this, but Reynolds Coliseum is very rich in ACC and NCAA history. This is the Coliseum where Jimmy V stormed the sidelinesThis is the Coliseum where our Coach, Sidney Lowe, set an ACC all time record for assist to turnover ratio while leading his team to an eventual upset National Championship. The record still stands today. This is the Coliseum where David Thompson became one of the greatest college players of all time, and where Tommy Burleson emerged as one of the most dominant big men of his era. This is the Coliseum where change for a dollar was made on top of a backboard, courtesy of DT.This is the Coliseum known for is unreal crowd noise and support, Reynolds created a blueprint that the Cameron Crazies and every other imitator followed. As students and fans, you may never get to see another meaningful game played in Reynolds. For many, it will be their first time. For some, it will be their last.Make the most of it. Never forget where the Wolfpack of today came from.CHEER YOUR ASSES OFF!GO PACK!!!!

This is not pointless.most of you all who are still in school have no idea what it was like to go to games at Reynolds on a regular basis.Parking on Hillsborough St, eating dinner at Brothers Pizza, walking through campus.this is a flashback into our history. I support this thread.
3/15/2007 11:43:12 AM
I think this is a good thread.Personally, I'm pumped as hell to get to see a real game in Reynolds. I think it's going to be louder than anything a lot of the kids have heard. It's gonna be electric. I get chills just thinking about it.
3/15/2007 11:47:10 AM

you fucks that got tickets better SCREAM YOUR FUCKING HEADS OFF!!And please to not throw shit on the court if we lose the game because of a bad call by the refs. thanks
3/15/2007 11:54:22 AM
I remember going to games as a kid, parking on Hillsborough, eating pizza, and then being literally frightened by the sheer volume of the building. THE BUILDING FUCKING SHAKES. I love the heritage game, but people just don't get up for it. This is an absolute throwback to fifteen years ago, and I couldn't be more excited.
3/15/2007 11:57:36 AM
I have some nice memories of sitting in the front row behind the opposing bench, at about the free throw line for the WFU and Duke games in 98/99. I caught a Reynolds Rowdies shirt at the WFU game. Then I was there for the game against FSU to close the place out. Those were the days.
3/15/2007 12:00:34 PM

I was fortunate b/c I was able to get NIT tickets to the Marist game and NCAA tickets to the Women's game...ahh a Spring break filled of basketball..very nice

I'm graduating this May and was fortunate to get a ticket. Next year (and for a while after that), I'm going to be on the west coast. My dad watched games in Reynolds Coliseum back in the late '60s. It's going to be a great experience. I can't wait.
3/15/2007 1:33:14 PM
This would be the perfect opportunity to remind the basketball world about the history of Reynolds Coliseum and the Wolfpack. Its only the second game in Reynolds to be broadcast on TV since the Heritage Game began, and the first one to matter. Unfortunately, its going to be late on a Friday night on ESPNU. Whats really dumb is that ESPN is showing a REPEAT figure skating broadcast at 930 Friday night .

This will absolutely be a great experience for lots of students who have never seen Reynolds rock. I will always remember seeing State beat Carolina there when I was a teenager. In its' day, this was the loudest, craziest environment for basketball in America. Bring down the house for all of us!
