I so very much agree with this thread. It seem as if the people here are in middle school. It gives us all a "bad look". It's sad because it's a few individuals who make the majority of posters look terrible.

Isn't there some way that t-dub could just alter any "bad" words when the post is made? On another forum I go to, many of the words considered swear words will automatically have their letters replaced by asterisks. A later variation had letters replaced by other characters, ie ass becomes "@ss." I don't know how much work would have to go into implementing something like that, but once installed you could let the computer do all of the work for you. Maybe you could do other stuff with it, like remove it for those with a premium subscription?

I figure that, minus the initial work to get something like this installed onto t-dub, the admins and mods won't have to do shit. Words such as "nigger" and "faggot" could effectively be bleeped out. While that in and of itself won't make idiocy and bigotry disappear, it will at least clean up the majority of people's posts with practically no interference from the mods whatsoever.

Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding was that the creators don't make jack off of this website. The fees from the premies goes toward paying for the bandwidth, to be sure, but I don't think they're actually making a worthwhile profit. AFAIK there is no "incentive" for them to keep running this website, they do it primarily because they want to. Which shows a lot of the time.

Add to it that if they did managed to get sued, that's going to cost them money. And given today's lawyer fees and the shameless amounts of money that people demand when they sue, it will cost quite a bit. At that point the creators will basically say "fuck it" and pull the plug. And I actually wouldn't blame them, because why should they stick their necks out for the lot of us assholes, most of whom they don't even know and have never met?
