3/11/2007 4:22:21 PM
does container gardening count?
3/11/2007 4:22:49 PM
If container gardening counts...1) Have 1 big pot of tulips outside waiting to bloom2) got 2 strawberry jars (10 plants) in my sun room waiting to go outside, (i think one jar will die out)3) Have a pot of bulbs that my gf thought were pretty, never grown any of them before, some have pushed up through the soil, it could be intresting4) a bunch of seeds waiting for the frost free date....which might as well be tomorrow....wooo global warming
3/11/2007 4:33:44 PM

3/11/2007 4:43:52 PM
tomatoes grow very well in pots you just have to keep them watered. (like 2x a day)
3/11/2007 4:44:06 PM
yes you can, but you'd still need lettus ham and mayo to complete your sandwich.
3/11/2007 4:44:33 PM
I'll trade you some seedlings for some apple trees, marigolds, and any good perennial flowers ya got
3/11/2007 4:45:00 PM

3/11/2007 4:47:32 PM
where can you get a good tomato plant?
3/11/2007 4:48:26 PM
in your case I would just go to the local farmers market or to lowes/home depot/wally world and buy one or two and some hanging basketsmake sure you get a "bush type"... they are more compatable to container gardening
3/11/2007 4:52:17 PM
sweet. even sex can't come close to being better than a tomato sandwich made with homegrown tomatoes.
3/11/2007 4:52:59 PM

3/12/2007 12:11:31 AM
how difficult would it be to start/set up a small herb thing in an apartment? (wolf village, so no balcony, etc). i was thinking about getting one of those strawberry plant pots, but i sorta want something not so big/bulky. could i do some different herbs in small pots, and put them right by the window?i know, it's a stretch, but i <3 fresh herbs when cooking.
3/12/2007 12:13:54 AM
I do that and it works pretty well. Just make sure the window gets plenty of sunlight.
3/12/2007 12:20:25 AM

When I was little our entire back field was a garden with every vegetable you could imagine, pear/peach/apple trees...over 100 pine trees, dogwood trees, azealas... and then everything got ruined by hurricane fran We have since then replanted trees/bushes, but they're growing so slow and now we just grow tomatoes and watermelons...[Edited on March 12, 2007 at 9:58 AM. I have to move a bunch of full grown bushes in my back yard. I'm not sure when I'm going to do this, but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna put it off for as long as possible.
3/12/2007 10:01:07 AM
OK so what is the minimum amount of rows of Corn I need for best pollination?
