For all of us that are in different TV markets, post here when you have confirmed a station will carry the ACC tournement in HD. This is mainly relevant for different markets within the ACC area.WRAL- Raleigh/DurhamESPN2 (Thursday/Friday) ESPN (Saturday/Sunday) - outside of Raycom/LF coverage areaNote- Duke v. NC State will be at 7 PM on ESPN2, regardless of geographic location.I have attempted to contact WDCA (Washington, DC) but can't get a response either way.

I believe Charlotte's WBTV (CBS) will cover it in HD, although Charlotte Time Warner does not yet have ESPN2HD for tomorrow night's State gameWBTV (CBS affiliate) - Charlotte NCESPN2HD - Charlotte - No ESPN2HD in Charlotte's Time Warner package]

No ESPN2 HD either in Raleigh. No one at the call center even knows when they should even start guessing a time.

haha yeah some of them are idiots, they first ask me if i want ESPN2 (SD)[Edited on March 7, 2007 at 5:32 PM. Reason : then they ask about ESPNHD]

The user "SNF Mixer" is mixing sound for this broadcast (he used to do MNF and now does SNF obviously, as well as NASCAR) and will be checking in periodically to see how they are doing.

3/8/2007 1:52:43 PM
i dunno, i think i prefer espns hd to raycoms
3/8/2007 2:58:40 PM
1080i > 720pPlus Raycom has no bottomline and no Dick Vitale.Ill take Raycom any day of the week now that they have HD.
3/8/2007 3:00:38 PM
upon further review (i hadnt compared the two back-to-back when i made the assertion that espns is better) i will now say raycoms is better [Edited on March 8, 2007 at 3:05 PM. Reason : now]
3/8/2007 3:05:14 PM
whats wrong with the bottomlinei like it when theres a lot of games going onbut hell yes this looks amazing.. now just get ESPN's graphics and it'll all be good
3/8/2007 3:33:16 PM
^^^ wrong. Please pass go and do not collect dollars on the way to AVSForum.720p >> 1080i for anything with lots of motion, making the progressive element more important than the interlaced. Now for movies or pictures 1080i would take the cake but sports and video games? No sir.[Edited on March 8, 2007 at 3:54 PM. Reason : -]
3/8/2007 3:53:53 PM
I like how you bring up the AVSforum, yet youd be hard pressed to find anyone on there that would take, for example, the NFL on FOX or ESPN (720p) over the NFL on CBS (1080i).
3/8/2007 4:27:19 PM
720p & 1080i >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> regular tv
3/8/2007 4:32:15 PM
eh who caresHD looks good either wayby the way, why do all sports broadcasts that show video from around the city or outside the arena reduce the framerate? [Edited on March 8, 2007 at 5:18 PM. Reason : ]

^^i think it depends on the broadcast / if it is a big enough company to have HD cameras outside?^hopefully we can win tonight and at least play 1 game in HD!or maybe the NIT will be in HD
3/8/2007 5:22:05 PM
