to say what The prime minister of australia said. about how islamics who want to live under sharia law need to get the fuck out, and that if you want to be here we welcome you if you are willing to adapt to our laws and our culture...and if not then get the fuck out. if only an american politician, or bush for that matter, had the balls to say that here. an of course include our ever swelling illegal hispanic population (the birthrate alone is out of control) who aims to turn this country into a 3rd world shithol and retake the west that they believe is theirs....(la raza makes this quite clear). they expect us to cater to their needs, learn their language and then refuse to adopt our laws and culture. we can welcome those who want to enjoy what we have, respect our laws and adopt our culture....but all too many want to exploit our weaknesses (ie shitty politicians on all sides) and exploit our advantages. the liberal notion of cultural relativism is going to be the death of this country. the notion that no one set of values is worth protecting and that a soverign nation is somehow wrong for trying to do so. what the fuck is the world going to be like when there is no standard anymore. i for one dont are to live long enough to see all that i love fall apart. and no one wants to do a damn thing about it....and liberals dumb down the debate by calling anyone who isnt for open borders racist. this same rant applies to anyone, hispanics, radical muslims, liberals, anyone who wants to change the fundamental beliefs we hold in this country. that is all
3/3/2007 4:34:30 PM
Racist.
3/3/2007 4:40:32 PM
i completely agree with you.however, consider this self-defeating position:let's say a country has a majority group A population, and it has laws set by group A, and appealing to group A.now, the laws of the country allow people from other countries to come and settle there.in 50 years, group A is in the minority. now, groups B and C are in the majority, and being very different from group A, they want the laws changed to what they want, or what they were used to before they immigrated.so, what happens?who safeguards and decided the laws and constitution of US? (i am asking because i don't know)can a certain ethnic group (in the majority 100 years from now) change the laws or the constitution of the US at that time?
3/3/2007 4:40:47 PM
the constitution can be changed to anything as long as the amendments clear herculean requirements
3/3/2007 4:42:59 PM
if the laws were changed LEGALLY, by a group LEGALLY entitled to be here and VOTE as LEGAL citiczens, then I would agree....thus the whole "we welcome you comment" but thats not the case in this situation, rather it is change through pure force by volume of people disrespecting the very foundations of our culture and Sovereignty[Edited on March 3, 2007 at 4:59 PM. I can propose an amendment to the US Constitution. Anyone can. Even you, 0EPII. Its easy.Just write it up, then get a U.S. Senator or Representative to sponsor it in front of their chamber in Congress. All that has to happen then is a supermajority (67%) of both the Senate and the House have to approve it, then 3/4 of all the States (38 states) have to ratify it in their legislatures.i think it's pretty straightforward.
3/3/2007 4:57:57 PM
too bad the change is coming not by the proper methods

If they don't assimilate and embrace "our values," they won't get good jobs, and they won't make enough money to have any power in our society.Don't worry, Republican18. We'll ghettoize the Hispanics, too.White people can relax.[Edited on March 3, 2007 at 5:10 PM. Reason : in, not over ]

Hispanics aren't trying to convert the US to anything, and they aren't resisting our laws and cultures. The majority of spanish immigrants in this country probably speak english, and the vast majority of their kids (a number nearing 100%) also probably speak English.

If I have any argument against immigrants, it's with the ones who aren't here to build new lives for themselves and their families. They just wanna work, scrape by, and send cash home. Oddly enough, these are the guys the conservatives love.
3/3/2007 5:13:26 PM
^^ Are you claiming that a majority of spanish immigrants do those things? Is not paying taxes because they're not here legally defying our culture? Is driving without a license because they aren't allowed to get them defying our culture? Those things are wrong for sure, but they aren't cause by their desire to change us, it's because our laws encourage these behaviors.[Edited on March 3, 2007 at 5:15 PM. Reason : ]

They'll assimilate pretty quickly, considering half of them look white, and that white people love them some hispanic women.
3/10/2007 11:46:01 PM
I have very mixed feeling on this issue. To begin I do think that the laws should be clear so that honest people are not punished. Clearly since we are not enforcing the law at all we are unfairly penalizing those who take the time and $$ to follow immigration law. You'll find that legal immigrants are perhaps the most outraged group against the current state of anarchy with immigration. It costs $500 plus at a minimum to go through the naturalization process and it takes years and lots of inane paperwork. To just let people in w/o the proper background checks is a crazy double standard. On the other hand I like the Mexican community here, I don't think they refuse to assimilate like in other places. Of course the drunk drivers should be deported, but then how do we keep them in Mexico? If we had some kind of ID system for illegals it would be feasible. Good luck getting that through congress. The problem is not so much that they are here, it is that they are percieved to uses services w/o contributiung to the tax base proportionally. This leads to many of the problems vexing to local governments, school growth most notably. Certainly a large part of the black market economy is employed by illegals, of course they are not going to pay tax $$$ as that would draw attention to them. I suppose one solution would be to switch to a fair tax system where everyone's consumption is taxed, illegals can hide income but they have to buy groceries and gas like everybody else. I'm sure EarthDogg can add to this point.I don't see any easy answers so long as we inist on growing government and refusing to push people towards taking responsibility for their own life. Two things which can't possibly help reducing black market jobs or the dim economic state in Mexico,1.) raising the minimum wage. (if I was an employer why on earth wouldn't I try to hire under the radarwhere I can pay people whatever they think is fair?)2.) ethanol ( I'd be mighty pissed if I realized I couldn't feed my family for a resonable # of pesos just so Americans could feel good about putting someone's dinner in their gas tank. It be one thing if it was just market demand but in some states they are forcing 10% ethanol. (VA I think) )

^ look up FBI's website for stats.and you can blame being poor and oppressed all you want, the fact of the matter is, the motivation to fail and drop out of school for blacks and latinos comes from within the society/culture.you are not cool if you studyyou are a nerdit is cool to be able to rap and play ballchemistry and math? that ain't coolshow uncle your rapping skills, juniorblah blah blahthe messages come from within, and you can't blame those on white people or poverty.funny thing is, these messages (in italics above) among school kids and teens are spreading to all sorts of communities all over the world: whites, arabs, south asians, etcand hence, a teacher's job is becoming that much more difficult.[Edited on March 12, 2007 at 8:24 AM. Careful Republican18...the politically correct crowd says its not ok to say something that may potentially be construed as hurting someone's feelings...you are obviously a bigot and a racist with a black heart of hatred...don't you know that countries must adapt to new residents...we can't possibly expect the residents to adapt to the country now can we
3/12/2007 12:01:25 PM
most adapt fairly well i'd say (or at least try)many of the issues listed there are only issues because the people are illegal immigrants and fear being deported.do i think it's right for people to illegally immigrate here? no.do i think we should make it easier for people to legally immigrate into the country? certainly.
3/12/2007 12:48:31 PM
how easy should it be? should it be so easy where almost anyone can legally immigrate here?
3/12/2007 12:50:34 PM
i think it should have an easy rating of 8. . .seriously how do you want me to quantify this?i think we should increase the number of worker visas we give out to latin america (esp. for "unskilled" labor)
3/12/2007 12:54:23 PM
what would you like to see the population of America reach? What I'm asking is that do you just want everyone who wants to legally immigrate here to be able to do so?
3/12/2007 12:55:17 PM
within a reasonable screening process, yes. we don't want criminals or anything. why not let the market take care of it? hahaha.
