Is cholesterol screening considered preventative health care? If so, my company covers it.Might want to check with NCSU. If they don't do free, they might do cheap if thats the only bloodwork you want done.

Yeah I'm wondering if student health will do it, I'd like to know my cholesterol..
3/13/2007 6:01:38 PM
^^ i believe it is considered preventative.

I'm almost positive the student heath center does this for free. We had them do a basic bloodwork profile before we paddled the Mississippi and I don't remember it costing anything for the cholesterol.http://www.sourcetosea.net

I always get mine tested at the doctor's office (partially because it's hereditarily high and they want to make sure I take my medicine). I guess I never thought about getting it done elsewhere.
3/13/2007 6:50:58 PM
^^They sure don't test my cholesterol for free.

Got bio-metric screening today at my wife's company. Five results worth attention and need follow-up.I suspect the two cups of coffee I drank at breakfast time influenced the results. Although I fasted from last night.

Probably not the coffee.
10/9/2018 10:58:37 PM
It would be if he puts a lot of cream and sugar in it.
10/10/2018 11:33:25 AM
No, I didn't. But it's starbucks Mocha.
10/10/2018 11:42:32 AM
Cholesterol isn't significantly affected meal to meal.So no, the coffee didn't do anything.
10/10/2018 12:57:48 PM
But I do put a lot of cream and sugar into the coffee which I consume daily. Liquid creamers are my favorite. Man, I used bottle by bottle.

Yeah, that actually does have a lot, unless it's non-dairy, then it has none.
