I wonder about the likelihood that they'd consider casting Bale as Batman and Routh as Superman?

Since getting Bale and Routh is doubtful, and considering this would probably be an alternative to the current Batman and Superman franchises rather than being a part of its continuity...Use the cast from Smallville. The show is going to most likely end after next year (season 7), and this way we get to see Tom Welling as Superman on the big screen without disrupting the current Superman franchise with Routh and Bosworth. I know theres a lot of people that would love this idea but theres also a lot of people that would hate it...but I dont think we need 3 different people playing different versions of Superman at once.

I think WB screwed up when they continued the Donner timeline franchise. that rendition of lex luthor always was and still is horrible. It's hard to visualize the Batman Begins universe being the same as the Donner/Superman universe. Although, they'd probably merge easier than trying to merge the smallville universe. I think singer did an ok job, but the material and plot was kinda limp. Would have been nice to see some patience on WB's part and work with adapting smallville to the big screen at the proper point in time. That would make JL fit in much smoother since we now have some likeable and I think, well cast actors (for JL). In the interest of taste, it might not be a bad idea to leave Batman out of the JL, since the universes don't mesh well and Green Arrow is essentially another incarnation of Batman.

^^^ What, Kingdom Come? You're probably right. But tell me why in hell there isn't an Aquaman movie already?! Am I the only one who thinks this live-action movie should be available on DVD by now?
