Is there a screenshot of them listing their high schools in the games rather than UNC? Or some way to prove it? I have a non-believer on my hands.[Edited on February 22, 2007 at 2:19 AM. Reason : .]
2/22/2007 2:16:52 AM
ive seen parker do it on mnf, never heard peppers though
2/22/2007 2:17:52 AM
I'm a noob. What is "HS"?High score?Cause, yeah...
2/22/2007 2:18:36 AM
High School and whoops I meant to put this in sports.
2/22/2007 2:19:19 AM
What is this shit?!?!I feel totally left out.
2/22/2007 2:19:31 AM
TWW.... BRILLIANTPep is from Bailey and Willie is from Clinton[Edited on February 22, 2007 at 2:21 AM. Reason : 1]
2/22/2007 2:21:06 AM
You have friends who aren't willing to believe which schools recruits attended? That shit is wildly advertised. No screen shot necessary.[Edited on February 22, 2007 at 2:22 AM. Reason : Your friends are fucking stupid.]
2/22/2007 2:21:46 AM
ill show you a screen shotfrom the outside in
2/22/2007 2:22:34 AM
no, the players tell what school they played. The most obvious is to tell your college. However Willie Parker and Julius Peppers list their High School instead of UNC. Pretty big smack in the face to UNC Football.
2/22/2007 2:22:44 AM
they mean instead of repping their college in intros they rep their high schoolI know willie parker did it, but I've never seen pep do it
2/22/2007 2:22:48 AM
LOL I WAS EATTING SPAGETTE AND I FLEW SOME UP ON THE SCREENA DN IT MADE A FUNNY PICHOW CAN I TAKE A SCREEN SHOT OF THIS
2/22/2007 2:24:47 AM
set em up -->
2/22/2007 2:25:42 AM
There's a whole new world to me.Apparently you have to prove that someone played at your college to...prove that they played there and that they weren't just doing it to "rep their high school" and move on to the pros? This is fucking retarded.(I save retarded for truly stupid shit.)

2/22/2007 2:26:00 AM
or they could have done it just to be funny, lots of players do it, I never took it as them being "anti-college"
2/22/2007 2:26:05 AM
^ why would they do it to be "funny", "thats just dumb"
2/22/2007 2:26:35 AM
someone said their preschool once...quite humorous
2/22/2007 2:27:38 AM
^ exactly. I have heard preschool, middle school, just home town, their childhood street address etc.
2/22/2007 2:28:39 AM
If someone played for you, they played for you. End of fucking story. There's no point in trying to find footage so you can prove someone "truly played" for you.I'm not gonna get off on the fact that JP didn't list UNC or some shit. I've got better things to do than add up player loyalty. We all know the deal with UNC.
2/22/2007 2:31:08 AM
when fox/cbs do intros to nfl games, the players generally say their names and the college they went to on tvin the case of willie parker since he never played and was a bench rider at unc, he says his high school name instead of repping unc[Edited on February 22, 2007 at 2:42 AM. Reason : like saying fuck you unc for not playing me, im starting in the pros]
2/22/2007 2:39:26 AM
but I've heard players that did play also give their HS names, and preschool etc.
2/22/2007 2:48:02 AM
i don't think you get it bridget
2/22/2007 2:49:45 AM
^^ya i have too, maybe its inside shit that we dont know about thats caused their school to be out of favor, or maybe they just want to change up their style or be funnywith willie parker its def a snub to unc
2/22/2007 2:52:42 AM
i've no idea what bridget is babbling about in this thread.

First thing I thought of when I read Peppers was
2/22/2007 8:07:56 AM
yeah I'm pretty sure after Willie Parker said his high school, Al Michaels made a comment about how Parker doesnt like UNC because he never got playing time
2/22/2007 9:09:55 AM
parker does say his high school name instead of UNC. Peppers does not say anything about UNC. He just says his name and thats it. Don't know why Peppers does it but I think its funny.
2/22/2007 9:16:37 AM
Threads like these are the ones Bridget needs to stay the fuck out of.
2/22/2007 9:22:18 AM

2/22/2007 10:38:32 AM

2/22/2007 10:44:28 AM

2/22/2007 11:00:45 AM
2/22/2007 11:04:09 AM
They have said Julius was from Wilson/Baily most of the time.Anyway, he went to Hunt High School. Class of 1999 I think. Saw him play back in the day. [Edited on February 22, 2007 at 11:05 AM. Reason : dd]

2/22/2007 12:34:11 PM
I have heard Peppers say in MNF he went to UNC...dont know about Parker....you dont have to worry about it now since espn doesn't do the same thing like abc does
2/22/2007 12:35:15 PM
p.s. Peppers played at RB and Special Teams in high school......not Defensive end
2/22/2007 12:35:58 PM
2/22/2007 12:39:37 PM
2/22/2007 12:46:34 PM
^^its ok, we don't get much love from Nash county so we have to shout out
2/22/2007 12:48:23 PM
parker says his highschool b/c unc didn't play him and he hates them. i think peppers is just a thug.that's my take anyway.

Peppers played for Southern Nash High school, and he laid the toughest hit on me that I've ever taken during my senior year game against them.
2/22/2007 1:40:16 PM
2/22/2007 1:42:54 PM
^true, I only remember him playing RB and Special Teams for the few games I played w/ him (I went back and forth from JV to Varsity in 10th grade) Bottomline: Peppers > Chuck Norris in football
