So I've been getting calls from this number in Florida that upon answering the phone, the call is immediately disconnected. Finally I decided to call the number back and a recorded message said "thank you for calling the direct student services of florida. For customer service...." I get a guy on the phone and tell him this number had been calling me lately and he says "yeah, we got your name as a loan holder that might possibly want our financial help." I told him no thanks and he said he would take me off the call list.

Does this sound sketchy and could I have given them anything just by calling them. I mean they already had my cell number and I didn't give them any other information but it just seems a little sketchy.

7278599922? I never answer it and read on some forums what it was. They called every day for a few weeks and I ended up just blocking it.

they purchased your information from a list

haha i tell them my locked in interest rate immediately

they say "oh, WHOA, with who"

then i tell them the company

they say "oh, we can't beat that. have a nice day"


they never call back.
