If they want to prove they belong in FBS (odd not calling it 1-A anymore), they need to show they can beat up on the Dukes and UNCs (and lately, the NC States) of FBS before they go after teams like LSU and Michigan

They are not really trying to prove anything....they just want to play good teams.

The school is not going 1-A anytime soon, they do not have the money or the stadium or alumni yet. They are on the way however. Maybe in another ten years or so.

Yeah i had no idea that App even played Furman, I said that because UNC was a terrible team, and App would beat the hell out of them.

Head to head isn't the best way to compare teams either. Were we better than Boston College last year?

we beat app, and we were awful last year. says a little something about the difference between 1A and 1AA when a team that goes 2-9 in IA play (on a weak schedule, too) beats the 2 time 1AA national champs.
