Need to fill up my Blockbuster queue. I'm on an 80's movie kick right now. I already have the staples like Breakfast Club. I'm looking for films that are lesser known but still good like Three O'Clock High.Any recommendations?

someone help me... i believe this was an 80s movie: this kid would ride his bike around a rock quarry, and when he did there would be this swirling and gurgling in the water. they made it out like there was a monster that lived in the water in the quarry, but in the end, a giant crane excavator thing was the culprit and for some reason lifted up out of the water at the end of the movie. i don't think the plot of the movie revolved around this, i believe the movie was about something else.
