I'm sure its all wishful thinking and rumors due to other recent reunions...has anyone heard anything substantial about this?http://www.therockradio.com/2007/02/2007-led-zeppelin-tour-wishful.html
2/16/2007 12:49:25 PM
wishful thinkingbut i would give my right nut to see them live
2/16/2007 12:57:30 PM
plant doesn't sound anything like he used to, but it would still be cool.
2/16/2007 12:58:36 PM
i've heard immigrant song is damn near impossible for him now
2/16/2007 2:47:33 PM
Who gives a fuck? Without Bonham, the drums will sound all wrong. The Who became boring as shit without Moon.
2/16/2007 3:55:58 PM
the rumors say [a] bonham is on the drums.
2/16/2007 3:59:21 PM
^his son is supposed to be badass....I heard he's the reason they started talking about getting back together in the first place.
2/16/2007 4:02:05 PM
just out of curiousity...how much would you people spend on zeppelin tickets. how much for first 5 rows and how much for like 20-30 rows back?
2/16/2007 5:37:07 PM
His son doesn't have the oomph. Not a bad drummer by any means, but nowhere near his father. The only acceptable option would be Dave Grohl, and even then it's not really acceptable.
2/16/2007 5:57:22 PM
^^ i'd pay up to about 50 bucks a ticket to see Zep, but then, i'm cheap... i'm sure that any venue for Zepplin that isn't an outdoor amphitheater would jack the minimum tickets up to at least 75 before scalpers...
2/16/2007 9:14:37 PM
The ticket prices for their first show would be insane then everyone would find out they don't sound the same and then they'd go down.
2/16/2007 9:16:35 PM
shit, i'd save for months just to get one ticket, i'd pay up to 150 for one ticket, but i own all of their studio and the live albums so im kind of a die hard fan
2/16/2007 9:47:28 PM
And yet you don't seem to care that without Bonzo there is no LZ.
2/16/2007 9:49:31 PM
I can't see anyone handling drums well enough to make it like old Zep. I'm running through my list of great drummers, and a lot of them are amazing, but they don't have that inhuman element like JHB.It's like replacing Hendrix with Malmsteen. All the technical skill in the world can't make up for some fuckcrazy inspiration.
2/17/2007 2:49:19 AM
2/17/2007 10:17:17 AM
^What's the point if plant cant hit the high notes?
2/17/2007 2:59:20 PM
^ is that the only reason you listen to zeppelin?man, some people are just born negative (or like to act that way on message boards)
2/17/2007 3:22:12 PM
^Without his vocal range the band will sound a lot less like the Zeppelin of the late 60s and 70s. Have you seen Plant solo? It doesn't mean I wouldn't go see them, but not for a damn grand a ticket.
2/17/2007 3:37:19 PM
Doesn't this rumor go around every other year or so? IF they did do a tour, I'd spend a grand, but that would include airfare, hotel, ticket and other entertainment because they sure as hell won't come anywhere near here other than maybe Atlanta and/or DC.
2/17/2007 4:42:09 PM
6^ yeah, but Yngwie Malmsteen did a badass rendition of "Mr. Crowley"
2/17/2007 7:40:54 PM
the 311 drummer is a great one in my book.
2/17/2007 9:00:17 PM
Paige is notorious for sounding shitty live.It would be a waste of money.
2/17/2007 10:18:57 PM
2/17/2007 10:19:57 PM
If Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd toured together, it would be as close to a license to print money as you could get outside of owning a casino in Vegas.
2/17/2007 10:37:30 PM
oh I don't know how much I'd pay, but I'd definately get a ticket.
2/18/2007 12:23:58 PM
i don't know what y'all are talking about, but jason bonham is an excellent drummer! he's mostly done solo work, but he's played for foreigner and other bands too. he was on jimmy page's "outrider" album. he's probably most famous for his scene in "the song remains the same", drumming when he was like 5-years old. jason was also in that crappy vh1 show, "super group", and he was the drummer in the movie, "rockstar" (zakk wylde was in the band too).jason bonham is the only person right to replace his father. i'd kill to see the new zeppelin!
2/18/2007 2:52:21 PM
i wish there was a new zeppelin as i figured, it appears to be all hype.
3/13/2007 12:20:22 AM
3/13/2007 7:01:45 AM
they played with neil young last night at the r&r hall of fame
3/13/2007 10:15:55 AM
^ That clip was from the 1995 ceremony.
3/13/2007 10:30:03 AM
ahai tuned in in the middle of it...guess i missed that info
3/13/2007 10:38:13 AM
ttt
9/12/2007 10:36:52 AM
it's not a fucking tour
9/12/2007 10:55:16 AM
i wish this wouldn't happenthey will be a shadow of what they werei'm sure even going to see ZOSO would be better
9/12/2007 12:09:50 PM
they aren't doing a tour but they getting together for a one time showit will possibly lead to a world tour if all goes well
9/12/2007 6:50:08 PM
No John Bonham = no interest from me
9/12/2007 6:54:16 PM
Bonham's son will be taking his place for the show
9/12/2007 10:42:24 PM
