Chapman was arrested Sept. 14 along with his son and another associate and released on $300,000 bail. He faces up to four years in a Mexican jail if convicted. Luster's capture shot the Honolulu-based bounty hunter to fame and led to the TV series. His disappearance set off an international manhunt by police, FBI and bounty hunters trying to recoup some of the bond money. Luster is serving a 124-year prison term. ---"

On that Repo Man show with Vincent Pastore they did a segment with a repo man from Texas who would go to Mexico for cars that people were hiding. He said that if he is one of the random ~10% of cars that they stop/inspect at the border he could go to mexican jail for stealing the car he just repo'd.

Basically it's a high risk/high reward thing, probably the same shit bounty hunters have to consider when going after someone in Mexico. I'm sure Dog knew the risks when he went after the guy, so I don't really feel sorry for him now that he has to pay the consequences.
