I'm surprised he didn't break in half.
2/16/2007 11:42:08 AM
who???
2/16/2007 11:52:35 AM
He is the TA of baseball (as far as injuries go anyways)
2/16/2007 11:56:48 AM
Man I want to bee Kerry Wood get paid millions of dollars to rehab and go see doctor's. He never actually works any.
2/16/2007 11:59:10 AM
oh, baseball. meh.
2/16/2007 12:00:37 PM
Seriously, I can't remember the last time Kerry Wood was significant. 2003?
2/16/2007 12:03:24 PM
^yeah when he lost game 7 of the NLCS.
2/16/2007 12:24:53 PM
i cant remember the last time i cared about the cubs
2/16/2007 1:01:00 PM
2/16/2007 1:24:32 PM
He can be an effective closer, but he's absolutely worthless most of the time since he's been hurt for the most of recent memory. His contract must be something like 80% incentive based.
2/16/2007 1:26:40 PM
2/16/2007 2:07:14 PM
^^^Thanks for your insight.
2/16/2007 2:27:17 PM

2/16/2007 2:58:14 PM

2/16/2007 5:37:11 PM
^^ yeah i'm going to do it soon
2/16/2007 6:23:14 PM
I'm in for anything and everyhting
2/16/2007 7:54:58 PM
Gah, sometimes it sucks being a Cubs fan. Oh, wait... Fantasy baseball I'm game for
2/17/2007 12:26:54 AM
summer afternoons at wrigleyits not too bad being a cubs fantickets on sale in a week, not really a significant event for most teams (cough white sox), but its huge if you want to go to cubs games
2/17/2007 12:28:52 AM
I think the contract he just signed was for like $500k with like $3mil in incentives. But who cares, he just banked like $30mil for pitching around 5 full games the past 3 years
2/17/2007 12:46:25 AM
man, the cubs can never catch a breaknever mind, they're the cubsfuck the cubswell not so much them, but their fansyeah
2/17/2007 1:48:44 AM
ouch, that hurtswait, no it doesnt
2/17/2007 10:19:52 AM
2/17/2007 10:38:31 AM
oh, nice bandwagon you got going therethe white sox have had one year of decent attendance, 8th in percentage full in 2006things changed for a season, lose some games and you will be back at 50% capacity
2/17/2007 4:27:10 PM
a cubs fan calling another fanbase bandwagoning. I'm sure there is a lot of sox bandwagoning going on, but nowhere near 98% of their 'fanbase' like the cubs/red cubs.
2/17/2007 4:42:28 PM
going from 50% attendance to 90% attendance in 2 years is fucking bandwagonyou will not find that trend for the two teams you just mentioned.
2/17/2007 5:47:22 PM
you're rightit's a reward to the ownership for fielding a team that wins. for acting like it's trying to win with the money you give them.cubs ownership doesn't have to do shit, just perpetuate the holiness that is wrigley field and staff the team with a bunch of loserslast place in the NL, still sells out. "The reality is that Wrigleyville is the biggest beer garden in the world. And if you turned the seats the other way in Wrigley Field, it'd still sell out."[Edited on February 17, 2007 at 6:56 PM. 2/17/2007 6:40:35 PM
can we just make a tww-chicago and let yall go at it 24/7? holy shit
2/17/2007 6:51:06 PM
2/17/2007 7:06:59 PM
yeah... pretty sure the consensus is that the trib is going to be selling the team
2/17/2007 7:09:15 PM
a) 50 dollars? lolb) bud light at wrigley? lol
2/17/2007 7:56:15 PM
did you want me to look up specific prices? $50 was probably lowball to you people. I do know there's a bud light bleachers, and I do know budweiser is served there...did you miss the part about the complete dissasociation between the cubsession and their team's actual baseball performance? basically, is that your comeback?[Edited on February 17, 2007 at 8:08 PM. 2/17/2007 8:05:54 PM
i have never paid 50 dollars for a fucking baseball ticketand i have NEVER had a bud light at a cubs game. you drink old style at wrigley, end of story
2/17/2007 8:08:13 PM
let me generalize the semantics for you then
2/17/2007 8:11:18 PM
I like to have a good time, cubs games are good times and i have loved the team since birth, not too terribly complicate to understandi pay money to go to a baseball game because 1) i love the cubs 2) i love baseball 3) watching baseball games in nice weather with good friends is a good timei drink beer at baseball games because i fucking want todont worry about what i do with my discretionary income, i get by just fine
2/17/2007 8:13:58 PM
you can do whatever you want with your money
2/17/2007 8:15:37 PM
in that case, im gonna go get a bunch of blow and buy some hookers
2/17/2007 9:10:40 PM
you're an awful troll when you try to be.
2/17/2007 9:12:52 PM
you're the one in the cubs-related thread homeslice
2/17/2007 9:14:49 PM
in case you didn't notice, up until you made your typical cubs r00l sox dr00l comment I was doing fine
2/17/2007 9:16:56 PM
i dont know if anyone mentioned this, but griffey getting hurt wrestling with his kids was kinda funny, considering his history of getting hurt, and what he could have been to the game had he never got hurt. I like to think he would have got 1000 hrs.
